Finn grew red as he as he heard what Santana said. Rachel can be selfish. True.
But that doesn't mean she is a vindictive asshat like Santana. Santana's words were cruel and it would have hurt anyone on the opposite side.
After Rachel left to swallow her loneliness, Finn stood up and faced Santana
"That was uncalled for, Santana. You didn't have to say those mean stuff to her."
"Well it's the truth. She is a selfish bitch and its about time someone taught her that."
"Yeah. She is selfish I know that. But I thought we saw past it a long time ago. Besides you are playing HER understudy. She does have the right to act that way, since she trusted you."
"No Finn. Santana is right. Rachel has this whole 'funny girl' thing getting into her head."
"Shut up Kurt. Its not like you weren't acting that way with Elliot taking over your band"
Kurt stayed quite.
"Santana that was really mean. Rachel has wanted that role ever since she was a child. And I get that you want something exciting in your life but you should have at least talked to her about it."
"Oh please! Hobbit was just scared that I was gonna take away her role. Don't you guys get it? She is a horrible person. And besides who said I wasn't destined for it?"
"Oh! So you are telling that you worked every second of your life for this broadway show?"
"Look what is your problem anyway Finn?"
"My problem is Rachel is out there feeling sad because her high school bitch wont leave her alone."
"Whatever ok? I'm done with this. Goodbye for now!"
Santana stood and was about to go outside, when Finn said "She really trusted you. She really wanted one of her tormenters to be her friend. Maybe for a minute you were, but you are just changing back to exactly to how everyone imagined you would turn up."

Finn found Rachel in one of the classrooms. He stood at the door in a seductive manner.
"Tell me about it, stud."
Rachel looked up and started laughing.
"I hope you are not making fun of me. I think I have had enough for one day."
"You shouldn't really listen to Santana. You are playing the lead. And the chances of you getting sick is like zero to million."
"Yeah, that's true."
"And Rachel Berry that I met is officially back. This time shes not crying because some guy fend her off, she is crying for her role. And that's about the only thing you used to cry for back then."
"Before you."
An awkward silence.
"Anyway I just wanted to see whether you were okay or not."
"I am fine, Finn. Thanks for looking out for me."
"That's what I always do." He started leaving.
"By the way, I voted for you. I think you will win."
