A/N: A quick oneshot about Xander and Anya, set during season six, before they're married, and from Xander's point of view.

I love these two so much. They're two of my favorite characters, and their relationship, as rocky as it was, could be very sweet at times. I'll never forget the series finale (spoilers here if ya haven't seen it!) when Andrew told Xander that Anya had died saving his life...and Xander replied with, "That's my girl. Always doing the stupid." Something about that touched me. However, this little oneshot will be much happier. :-)

Buffy doesn't belong to me!

Buffy's back from the dead (and normal). I think all's well in Sunnydale. I think. I mean...this is Sunnydale. But let's not go there, right?

It's pretty cool to be back at the Bronze. We didn't get to hang there that much during the summer, what with Buffy being dead and all. But now we're here again, Willow and Tara are getting all snuggly on the couch, Buffy's getting drinks, and Anya's...aggressively headbanging. She likes to dance. She's pretty wild when she gets at it, too.

God. That's the woman I'm going to marry.

I love her.

I'm not saying that in a questioning way. I really do love her. Like, I'm smiling right now looking at her. Christ's sake, I'm grinning. She's a goofball. They're playing this punk song that's saying "na" a lot and has a lot of guitar and she's enjoying it. She flips her hair and jumps around and she's laughing really hard and oh God, I'm so in love with her. I want to kiss her, right now. I realize (er, remember I guess) these things at the weirdest times. I mean, she's probably all sweaty and out of breath right now, but she's so beautiful. She's wearing a green dress and her hair is all pretty and curly and bouncy.

She loves me, too. I know. She's blunt and she's honest, but in the quiet moments, (yeah, we have those, despite everyone's doubts) she is an actual sweetheart. My favorite times are the mornings before work, when we kiss in the kitchen and laugh and stand in the sun as it comes through the window. Then we attempt to make breakfast and it usually fails, and then we get McDonald's. But I love it. It's cheesy, isn't it?

The bridge of the song is playing and Anya spies me across the room, smiling. An invitation. What the hell, let's do it. She hold out her hands as I join her on the dance floor and takes them for a brief moment, until the slow bridge ends and the fast chorus starts again and she's back to rocking out in her own, unique, Miss Anya Jenkins way. I discard my embarrassment and join her, letting loose as we dance, cracking up with laughter.

"I love you!" She yells over the music. "I really do, Harris!"

"I love you, too!"

"Yeah?"

"Promise!"

When the song ends, we kiss right there on the dance floor. (I've seen people do more than kiss, get off my back) Everything might not be right in the future. Actually, I know not everything will be right in the future. But now, I'm with my Anya and I love her. And she loves me, and we danced and we kissed and we'll probably have sex tonight, but God, I feel so great.

A/N: The song I had in mind that Anya and Xander danced to is "Na Na Na" by My Chemical Romance (I had an emo phase. It's not a bad song. Chill. :P), although that song came out in like 2010, but whatever. :-) Thanks for reading.
