a/n: Hello all, I am formerly known as "TearsofSorrow" But I couldn't remember the password I used, so I just started a new account. I am going to re-do my Charmed story.

The fire swirled on the chair with the heat and intensity of an Aztec celebration.

I thought I was getting control of it.

Mom rushed into the attic as the smoke alarms blared in the background.

"Melinda, what happened?" She asked as she reached for an extinguisher.

Once the fire was out, mom looked at me, with not eyes of anger, but of disappointment.

"Just, go to your room." She said.

"I didn't mean to."

"Now."

I sat on my bed staring at the ceiling.

Everything about my family says good, but everything in the book says evil.

Aunt Phoebe and Aunt Paige walked into my room. Phoebe sat on my bed, Paige on a chair by my desk.

"Your mom is pretty mad." Aunt Phoebe said.

"I know, I know."

"So, what happened?" Aunt Paige asked.

"I got mad."

"We've all gathered that. Why?" Aunt Phoebe said.

"Just…forget it." I said rolling over, facing my wall.

"Paige, gimme a sec?"

"Sure, Henry should be over soon anyway."

Aunt Phoebe gently rubbed my back.

"Just us."

"So?"

"You always talk better when it's just the two of us."

I rolled back over onto my back. "I just want an answer."

"About?"

"I'm Whitelighter."

"Yeah, so is your Dad, so are Chris and Wyatt."

"But, I'm a firestarter."

"Yeah, no one knows why you have those powers."

"I don't care where they came from, all that matters is that I have them."

"So, what's wrong?"

"Am I good or evil?"

"Powers aren't good or evil by themselves; they are what you make them."

"How is a fire good?"

"Warmth, for one."

"Sure, before electricity." I said sarcastically.

"So, why'd you start that fire?"

"I didn't mean to."

"That doesn't answer my question."

I sighed, I sat up in bed.

"Whoa, if you're sitting up, it must be pretty major."

"Wyatt and Chris were telling me that I was evil, and that I would never amount to anything, and if I don't kill myself, they're gonna have to do it to protect Mom."

"Well, I think the question is; do you believe them?"

"Sometimes."

"Well, I personally do not think you're evil. But, if you don't believe me, ask Aunt Billie to tell you her and Chrissy's story sometime. It might surprise you."

"Aunt Billie was evil? Does she have the same powers as me?"

"Billie's situation at the time of the ultimate battle was, complicated. And no, she doesn't have the same power as you. On that note; you will amount to something, wanna know how I know?"

"How?"

"Because, I guarantee you are the only, witch, Whitelighter, firestarter, I have ever seen."

"That doesn't mean anything."

"It means mountains, you'll realize it soon enough."
