Safe And Sound
A.N. My variation of what happened at the end of the Season 2 Finale. Thanks to PeddieHoa for helping me think of this! Read the end A.N.
Fabian walked into the foyer, looked up, and say Nina's wonderful green eyes. He almost didn't see Amber. When she came down the steps, Fabian found her in his arms. He had dreamed about this moment for months now. He knew he would never forget this.
"You know, I've been thinking, we were wrong."
Nina gave him a small, puzzled look, but he continued.
"I mean, the us breaking up. You're the one."
"The chosen one." Nina said in a flirty tone.
"No, my chosen one."
As soon as they leaned in to kiss, Amber barged in screaming
"YAY!" Fabian and Nina looked slightly annoyed, but they couldn't deny their friends on such a joyous night.
After partying for several more minutes, someone announced that some cake was ready. Amber said,
"Cake! You guys coming?" Looking at Fabian and Nina.
"Nah, let's stay here." Said Fabian with a grin.
"Okay you two..." Said Amber teasingly. She shut the door again, and Fabian said,
"Wanna go sit on the front porch?"
"Sounds nice. Let's go."
When they got out there, they sat on a bench, Nina layed her head on Fabian's shoulder and said,
"You're right, you know. We were stupid. I think I've missed you since the day after we broke up."
"Yeah, well I started missing you the day we broke up."
Nina smiled and said after a pause, "You, wanted to be my osirian, didn't you?"
"Yeah, but only so I knew you could be mine."
"Well, you saw that Victor was Sarah's Osirian, and that never went anywhere, so we're okay."
"Can we not talk about any of that? That stuff's behind us for now." Fabian said.
They both smiled at each other. From inside the house, they heard a slow dance song being played. Fabian stood up and held out his hand to Nina.
"May I have this dance?"
Nina smiled. They danced together in each other's arms.

About half way through, Nina said

Fabian giggled and said, "I don't know who that is."
"Do you know what song it is?"
"Now why would I know that?"
"Because it's our song."
"Oh yeah, how come?"
"The song's about even when everything is horribly wrong in the world, at least we have each other."
"Then it is about us."
The two smiled and danced the night away, peacefully in each other's arms.
