Lycra Furnia was a normal girl. That is until she found out she wasn't. It was a day like any other in Portsmouth, MA. Cold. Ly was dressed in a silver long sleeve with black hearts, black skinny jeans and tall black boots. She had waved goodbye to her moms, like always, She had walked to school, like always, and was arriving when she saw a blue Prius pull into the parking lot. It pulled everyone's attention towards it because it was driving at a high speed, and everyone who lived there knew that the Portsmouth police was very strict about speeding. Out came a blonde girl with her hair in a ponytail and a black haired guy. The girl had grey eyes and the boy had sea green ones. Their attractiveness rivaled Ly's, who prided herself in her straight, black hair, which was currently in a ponytail, and sparkling blue eyes. She heard the girl say her name and decided to hide behind a trashcan as she found it strange that anyone would be asking for her, especially someone she didn't know. She quickly snuck inside so she wasn't seen and headed to her first class. By the time she saw the couple again. It was lunchtime and
she was returning from the bathroom to sit with her friend, Maya. The two strange teenagers were seated with her and they were chatting about lightbulbs, of all things. "Lyla!" Maya shouted at her," Meet Annabeth and Percy!" "Hello." She said curtly. "Uh.. Hi...", mumbled the boy. "They're here to see you. Said something about a camp?" Maya turned toward them both questioningly. "Uh..yeah," answered the girl, Annabeth, "but we can talk later. You should get to class." She shook Ly's hand, leaving a small piece of paper that when she opened it, after she had sat down in her math class, Ly discovered said, "Meet us at the front of the building after school, we need to talk."

The rest of the school day passed with Ly thinking what they wanted to talk to her about. Finally the day ended and Ly walked up to them. They were standing in front of the blue Prius she had saw them arrive in.
"You wanted to talk to me?" Asked Ly.
"Yeah," Annabeth leaned ever so slightly on to the hood," Listen, have you ever heard of the Greek gods?"
"Well, yeah. Who hasn't?"
"Okay, Good. Well.. Um.. They're kind of real."
"You're joking, right?"
"No.. Sometimes they have relationships with mortals and create children. That's where we come in."
" Wait a minute. You're telling me I'm a demigod?"
"So you do know some things about the Greek gods. Anyways, we all go to this camp, because we happen to attract monsters, and we have to learn to fight them. I really don't know how you haven't gotten attacked yet. I mean, we usually get found out by the time we're twelve. How old are you exactly?"
" I just turned 15."
"We're going to need you to come to camp with us," Annabeth gestured towards the car.
" What about my parents? I'm not just going to get in the car with two complete strangers!"
"I'm sorry, Ly, but you're gonna have to," Said Percy.
"How do I know you two aren't just some creeps?"
Annabeth took her hand and dragged Ly to the field, Percy right behind them.
" Come on, Percy. Show her."
"What? Why?"
"Because."
He stopped up and summoned all the water left from when the sprinklers went off on the grass.
"Ok. I think I believe you," said Ly.
"Great! Let's get going" said Annabeth.
They walked back to the parking lot, and Ly called one of her moms. They talked briefly and Ly heard her say something about how she knew this day would come. They both gave her their blessing, and Ly got in the back of Percy's Prius as he started it.
"So...Where are we going?" She asked Annabeth, who she was now planning to call Beth.
"You'll see." She responded, and her seaweed brain boyfriend drove off.
