It was a Saturday night, well, technically it was now Sunday. The air was cold, crisp, and it didn't help that there was December snow falling on the ground.
Ziva David had never been all that great with snow.
Then again, she didn't grow up in D.C.
Yes, of course, at below freezing, it was the perfect weekend for the heating system at her apartment to stop working.
Great, just great.
Ziva pulled her scarf tighter as she walked down the snowy path to her car. However, said car was also covered in quite a bit of snow.
Ziva had never driven in snow before.
Not a good idea, Agent David.
It was odd. Her apartment was actually colder than the outside air. On top of that, she couldn't drive.
Time for a walk.
Ziva watched as the atmosphere became thicker with falling snow. It was really quite beautiful, though the sun would not be up for a number of hours.
She watched as snow began to fill her footprints. Soon, she couldn't see where she had come from.
Good thing she had a good sense of direction.
Oh, wait, said sense of direction also got her lost on a Navy ship getting food for DiNozzo.
Oh well.
Before she knew it, she was opening the door and removing her shoes.
She made her way down to the basement. Where else would Gibbs be?
Sleeping, maybe. Probably not.
Silently, Ziva made her way down the stairs.
"Gibbs?"
He was down there, moving the sander back and forth on his boat frame.
"Need something, Agent David?"
Ziva ran her fingers along the boat frame.
"The heater in my apartment decided to die."
"Sure you didn't kill it?"
Ziva laughed. "No, Gibbs. I would never."
They stood there for a minute, silently trying to figure out what the other was thinking.
"Gibbs. Do you still have that couch you offered Tony?"
"You can have the guest room."
"Are you sure? Why me and not Tony?"
"Because, Agent David, he's DiNozzo."
Ziva nodded slowly. "Right."
"You goin' up there?"
"Where-"
"Third door on your left."
Ziva yawned and smiled lightly. "I appreciate this, Gibbs."
"Night, Ziver."
Ziva started to walk up the stairs before stopping halfway up.
"Oh, and Gibbs?"
Gibbs looked up from his boat.
"Toda, Abba"

Okay, I know this was super short and certainly not my best work, but yeah, I'm not dead. I'm just doing a lot of school and cleaning!
I also wrote this story spur of the moment after doing a lot of thinking and finishing my second box of fruit-flavored ice pops.
(Yes, I food associate like Ellie Bishop)
Well, that's about it!
Expect more soon!
