Augustus trailed a sweet and careful line of kisses down Hazel's throat as her arms travelled up and down his torso, her fingers running over the planes of his chest and feeling every bone and every crevice. His skin was satin silk under her fingers as he sat between her legs, both almost naked in bed. Augustus met Hazel's lips with his. They shared a long, slow kiss before breaking apart to catch their breaths.
"After all this time?" Gus asks breathlessly, a shit-eating grin splitting his face. They leant their foreheads against each other's.
"Always."
Gus's eyes stared tenderly into Hazel's richly coloured ones. "Never took you for a Harry Potter reader. Thought you'd just stick to An Imperial Affliction."
Hazel was still trying to catch her breath when a smirk spanned her lips. "Don't be stupid. Everyone reads Harry Potter."
Gus flashed her a grin. "True," He said, and their lips collided heatedly again, the kiss a symphony of tongue, teeth and lips. Gus ran his hands down until they met the waistline of Hazel's jeans and unbuttoned them. He took them off in one swift movement and spread her legs apart until he was between them again.
He stared at her, the black pool of his eyes filled with love and awe. "The chamber of secrets has been opened." He shot her another grin.
"It's a metaphor, you see."
"You mean my vagina has a huge snake in it?"
"No, I meant that it's sacred."
Hazel laughed in disbelief and covered her eyes with her hand. "We're about to have sex and you say this quote which makes me think of some bald, pale, and probably-virgin snake dude? Damn it, Gus, I can't unsee the image."
Augustus feigned mock-astonishment and puts a finger up to his lips. "You can't say You-Know-Who's name!" His pupils were blown wide but there was the shadow of amusement behind them.
Hazel leant up to place a chaste kiss on Gus's lips. "The scar had not pained Harry for nineteen years. All was well."
Gus caught Hazel's lips in a gentle and soft kiss. And as the streetlamps flickered and casted pale circles on the old Amsterdam cobblestones, and the moon shone as bright and as fervent as the love Hazel and Augustus held between them in their beating hearts, all was well.
