The God, The Bad and The Ugly
Chapter one. A God in a hundred.
The gods are different in Genua.
The Genuan gods live not in golden palaces but instead in huts of mud. They baulk at milk & honey, nectar and ambrosia. Instead they feast on gumbo. In all fairness the main difference is that the Genuan gods are proud to be humble. But. Razamatazz god of sounds that come from the swamp was an exception. Razamatazz had big ideas. He wanted bright lights, fast carts and wild living. He wanted expensive jewellery gaudy clothes, but most of all he wanted loud soul filling music. In the swamp few of these are available, and a god who demands such things of his followers rarely impresses the people of the swamp.
He did find a little place in the hearts of the ambitious, and during
the Mardi gras he was the patron god. So for one day of the year he
was the most powerful and praised god in genua and he intended to use
that one-day of festivities when he had true power to fulfil his
ambitions.
