Ich liebe dich (1)
Edward and Winry had got married as soon as the alchemist and his brother had come back from the other side of the gate. He couldn't keep his feelings for himself anymore. He had cried of joy when his still single childhood friend had thrown herself in his arms. Then, everything had come out wrongly and they got married. With her high heels and her long white train, she seemed taller than him, although it wasn't totally right, at some centimetres near.
Ed was now working for the army, under the orders of the fuehrer Roy Mustang. He and madam Elrick had moved to Central. They had vacation in Resembol, where Al had settled himself, alone, in a new house, right at the spot where their own house was once ago. The elder child didn't know if his little brother had a girl friend. Alphonse was studying alchemy and taking in abandoned cats. He followed his brother sometimes, in his missions. But otherwise, he kept on his studies, that were so hard and complexes that even Edward didn't have the right to look at these.
In the evening where our story is beginning, the Elrick couple was at home, exhausted after a long week of work. It was time that Friday arrives. Winry's boutique closed only at ten o'clock, to the great displeasure of Edward. Even if they were living right above the mechanic's store that was exploiting the young woman as her soldier of husband was doing his works for the state, it always took the future mother a lot of time to close the boutique.
Yes, you've read well, future mother. Winry Rockbell Elrick was pregnant since seven months already. She discovered her husband in their apartment, slumped on their sofa, looking quite sleepy, his gaze lost on the pile of notebooks that was surrounding him. Winry sighed in discouragement, before to let out a little yell and to put a hand on her stomach. Immediately, her blond husband was up and next to her.
-What? What is it?!
She leant against his shoulder as she shook softly her head, as if she wanted to see that it wasn't anything. But he felt her shaking anyway, even if she was retaining them and he took her in his arms. After their long separation, he had come back very more affectionate than before. He was one of the more affectionate husband she had met in all the couples they knew. She leant a little more against his muscled chest, stroking her cheek on his shirt.
-It's nothing, she said, as she pushed him away slowly, to take back her own balance. He kept her in his arms and their eyes met.
-Winry, you've took the stairs again. I've told you already to take the elevator. It's perfect, you're the one who made it!
-You hate this elevator, she argued.
-Yeah, but you mustn't tire yourself. If I was you, I'll close the store temporarily. You have to get rest.
-Who do you think your dealing with here? I'm in great shape.
-Winry…
-You've already eaten? She asked as she offered him a cuddle comforting enough so that he let her go after having kiss her forehead.
-No, but I've prepared something for supper.
She was about to scold him, but stopped with a smile.
-I'll get clean and we'll eat, she replied.
He agreed and followed her figure with his golden eyes. He loved to see her walking with her growing stomach and her breasts full of milk. He founded her as pretty as ever, even more. She was herself, and she was carrying them both. His child. Their child. She was the sun in his night. The sun in his days. The picture of the greatest alchemy he had ever known. The one that was making him and Winry soul mates. He needed to tell her all the time.
Then, when she came out of the washroom, dressed with a light dress because of the evening hotness, her hair untie, her face framed by cowlick, he smiled at her with tenderness, before to draw her chair so that she can sit at the table.
-I love you, he simply said as he took his own place, in front of her.
-Edward, the young woman blushed. Are you feeling alright?
-Wha… yes, as great as ever. I can't tell you that I love you?
-Yes, you can. It's only that it's been a while since the last time you told it to me, she answered.
-Well, I love you Winry. And I found you pretty.
They exchanged a loving gaze, before to attack the meal with pleasure. If Edward wasn't a cordon bleu as his wife, he still was a great cook. And, just by seeing the twinkle in his eyes, she could guess he had plans for the night. Very lovely plans. There was candles on the table…
Edward had taken the habit to charm and to reconquer his love on a regular base. He liked to cosset her, feeling indebted to her and he liked to be cosseted too. But, his sharp mind was thinking of something a little more interactive. And more intense…
They didn't sleep much that night. Not to say that they didn't sleep at all. It's only in the little morning that the blond man quieted his fervour with a last moan and another kiss. Winry stroked his hairs to hear him moan like a child. Their senses all on edge, full of love and pleasure, they closed their eyes, Edward caressing his wife's round stomach, curled up on her, his face in her neck, his nose pointing to her swelled breasts. She was lying on her back, as pleasantly troubled by their lovemaking as the first time. A sunray come to warm up her skin.
-Ed, she asked as she caressed thoughtfully his hair.
-Hum? Was his only response as he snuggled up to her body.
-I love you.
-I was the first to say it…
-The end-
(1) Ich liebe dich means I love you, in german.
And, yeah, he told it first, but he took his damn own time! It was my ending of the movie, in one-shot or two-shots, if you want to see the childbirth. But this part will come in some time, as I'm French and a French writer at first. I hope a certain English person loving Baten Kaitos will read this fic, as I translate it for her, thinking that she knew fma. If my memory's still doing well. I'll maybe translate some other of my fics if there are really a lot of people who want me to. No matter what you'll think, it'll take me time, as I'm better in writing French or directly in English. Translating French to English is taking me damn too much time.
Anyway, translating this fic was a nice thing, as it was short and lovely. Hoping every Edwin fan will like it. So, it's my gift as we're waiting for the spring to came back here in Canada, Quebec, looking at the grey sky and asking ourselves why the movie had to end as it did. Kisses to every reviews!
Radiklement…
