Chapter 1: Meeting Crystal

Princess Twilight Sparkle was trotting down the path to Fluttershy's house, as she needed to show her something important. She spotted something in the forest, slightly bigger than her. It came out of the woods.

"AAAAH!" Twilight screamed. Queen Chrysalis was coming out of the woods and chasing her! She was running back to Ponyville when she heard a voice.

"Wait! Help me!" Chrysalis spoke.

"You're not Chrysalis, are you?" Twilight asked, walking over to her.

She was an alicorn, slightly larger than her. She looked just like a changeling, except she had no holes in her legs, no fangs, and her wings were normal. Her tail was covering her flank and her mane was covering her eyes. "I'm Crystal." She said. Twilight walked over to her, getting closer. Crystal swayed, and Twilight saw her chest bleeding slightly. She ran over to Crystal. "Help." Crystal croaked.

"It's okay, I'll help you." Twilight supported Crystal as they took the shortcut to Twilight's house. Twilight put Chrystal on a cushion and went to get a bandage.

A little purple dragon with green scales came up to Crystal. "Who are you changeling!? Why are you here!?" It yelled.

"I-I'm not a changeling." Crystal said weakly.

"Uh-huh." The dragon said. "You sure look like one."

"She's not, Spike." Twilight came back into the room. "I forgot to introduce myself. I am-"

"Princess Twilight Sparkle, I know." Crystal interrupted.

"...and this is Spike, my assistant." Twilight finished. She put bandages on Crystal's chest. A knock came to the door. Spike opened it. Five ponies came

rushing in.

"Where's the changeling?"

"Who is it?"

"I'm scared..."

"Party time!"

"Cool!"

Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow Dash walked up to Crystal, crowding her. Twilight pushed them all into cushions and sat down on

one. "This is Crystal. She is not a changeling. I found her in the forest." Twilight explained.

"I am not a pet, either." Crystal said. "I'm part changeling." Her horn lit up green, and then there were two Twilights in the room. A second later,

Crystal changed back. "I can only keep forms for a few seconds. I haven't been trained for changing forms yet. I ran away from my city."

"Why?" The mane 6 and Spike said at the same time.

"I'll tell you why."
