The stage couch was starting to rock more and more as the journey continued. Skye had not noticed she was entranced by the beauty of the forest. She stared out the window enjoying the bliss that was the sounds of the forest. Blue birds exploded form a bush as they drove past their songs filled the air. Skye smiled as they hit a rock in the road. The sun was grasping t the ground to no avail. The shade of trees shielded her from the harsh sun lurking above. "Skye, close your window, up ahead is bear country." Grant said looking back at his lover nearly running them off the road. "Ward, watch what you're doing," rolling her eyes she did as her husband instructed. She had never felt so free they were leaving the city and going to build themselves a cabin where they could live in peace away from the prying eyes of the city folk.
Today was their day of freedom no more sheriffs coming to the door with a gun to shoot the famous criminal "Grant Ward". She could be with her husband free of the stigmas that went along with his past. Grant had changed he had changed he had changed for her. His gang was dead and they were no longer chained down by the law.
The couch came to a stop. "Skye stay in the stage couch no matter what happens." "Grant, what is out there I can help," "No" She heard one shots from Grants revolver along with roar. The couch exploded to life as the horses ran from creature attacking Ward she quickly leaned out the window to find a black cloud barreling toward her husband. Skye's heart was beating out of her chest she flung the door of the stage couch. She jumped out into the dust as the stage couch turned a corner. She knew here and now she had to do something she grabbed the revolver from her dress. As the bear lumbered closer and closer she ran for Grant who was backing up against a tree. Skye took aim and fired one into the bear's torso. It turned its massive head away from the criminal to his beautiful wife. Skye fired five more shots barely stopping it before rammed face first into her as all its weight dropped into the ground dirt flies into the air.
Skye rushed over to grant tearing the bottom of her dresses .Taking the strip of dress she tied it around her thy. "Skye you're an idiot you could have been killed," "But, I wasn't we need you to get to a doctor," She stared at the deep claw marks in his leg as the scarlet liquid stained the grass red. She propped him up against a tree. "I've got you." They sat there for what felt like hours until a man road up on a horse. "You two hoes gotta learn to respect nature,"
