"AAAHHHHH" Renee Swan was in labor with her twin girls at a hospital in the small town of Forks with her husband Charlie Swan at her side. She had been in labor for two excruciating days before the doctors decided to give her a C-Section as her labor was getting riskier by the minute. She was only six months pregnant before she felt her water break. She tried her best to ignore it and convince herself that she just imagined it or that she just peed herself or something like that before the contractions started to roll in and her husband convinced her to go to the hospital. Renee was to upset to do anything but try to bare the pain that came with childbirth. Even though she wasn't to thrilled when she found out she was pregnant because that would mean just one more thing keeping her here in the town that she despised, she did love her girls even though she hasn't meet them and she desperately wanted them to survive this much to early birth. She was seeping in and out of consciousness and all the voices and sounds seemed to be far away and echo around the room. She wasn't to aware of anything that was happening to her but she felt her husbands hand take her own and could tell that he was whispering things to her like "It's going to to be okay" and even though sometimes she resented him for keeping her in the small town of Forks, she was glad he was here for her.

Eventually, Renee awoke from her daze to find herself in the recovery room with her husband asleep on the chair and a nurse in the corner of the room looking over some charts. "Charlie" she said her voice was raspy, barley above a whisper. Her throat was dry and she thought that he didn't hear her. "Right here" he replied to her his eyes red as though it was a mix of tiredness and sadness which, it probably was. "Where are my girls" Renee said in a panic filled voice as the events of the last few days came crashing in on her and a million thoughts rushing into her head all at once. "They said one, the first one, was fine, just a little small, but the second one…:" Charlie said trailing off. "The second one what" Rene said tears falling from her eyes. "She's in critical condition, they're not sure she's going to make it" he replied sadly, his own eyes now spilling tears. He knew things had been rocky lately between him an his wife but he really thought that these babies would help them, but now he fears if they lose one then it would strain there relationship even more. He couldn't finish his thoughts though as the doctor entered their hospital room seemingly looking down at some papers on a clip bored.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Swan, i'm Dr. Cody Ramirez. "Cody was pretty attractive with short ,curly blonde hair and green eyes, he seemed pretty young too, late 20's at his oldest. "I have some reports that I'd like to talk about with you guys now that you're both awake he said with the forced smile. "Is there anything you need before we start" he asked. "Yes, some water would be nice" Renee replied. "Very well then" Dr. Ramirez said. "Nancy, can you please get Mrs. Swan some water" he asked the nurse in the corner. "Of course" she replied with too sweet of a smile for Renee's liking right now before walking out of the room. "Well" The doctor started. Charlie and Renee both felt dread wash over them expecting the worst news possible. "The first child is fine but" the doctor trailed of sighing "the second one has to have emergency surgery, we would like to get it done as soon as possible we just have to have your consent". "Of course" Charlie said. "Very well then, I'll update you when I know how things went and you can also drop by the NICU to see your first born" Dr. Ramirez said before exiting the room.

Charlie helped Renee get to the NICU before looking at their newborn daughter for the first time. "Isabella Marie Swan" Renee said happy for the first time in a long time gazing at her daughter trying not to let what's happening to her other one het to her.

The other baby thankfully made it and Charlie and Renee were enjoying their time as parents. The other daughter was named Elizabeth Grace Swan. Lizzie gained weight and caught up to Bella in size. They were identical except for their eyes. While Bella's eyes were soft, doe like brown eyes Lizzies were icy blue. Size and eye color didn't matter though. Charlie and Renee loved them the exact same. Renee thought that things were finally looking up and maybe just maybe, she could deal with being stuck in the small town of forks. That was until one fateful night.

10 MONTHS LATER

"CHARLIE" Renee yelled. Charlie strolled into the living room from the kitchen. "Yes" he said nonchalantly. She could feel the annoyance building up inside of her from how relaxed and unconcerned Charlie was. "Can you please check on Lizzie, it's time for a change and she's been awfully quiet up there" Renee said holding a crying Bella in her hands. Sighing Charlie nodded before heading upstairs to go check on Lizzie. On the way up there he couldn't help but think that Renee was right about her being quiet and suddenly felt like something was very wrong. Once he got up the stairs he silently opened the door and walked over to Lizzie's crib. When he looked in all the color drained from his face.

The crib was empty. The window was opened.
