Gibbs was in Abby's lab. He was extra grumpy today.
"Would you be less grumpy if you slept in a bed?", She asked bouncing slightly on the balls of her feet, due to high amounts of caffeine flowing through her bloodstream, which was a consequence of the large amounts of caf-pow that she had consumed in the last few hours.
"No.", He snapped, grumpily
"Didn't think so", she said sighing "How bout if you had a woman in the bed?"
He smirked, "That a propostion Abs?"
She cringed, "Ewwww no! That would be so unfair on Kate!" Oh shit she said it out loud, she wasnt meant to tell him that bit, and now Kate is gonna kill her. She had confessed to her earlier on that day that she was infact in love with Gibbs.
He looked at her shocked. Had she said what he thought she said. How would it be unfair on Kate? Unless, she liked him, loved him maybe. He loved Kate, that much was undeniable, but he never thought in a million years that she would feel the same way. Hes old, and a divorcee (three times over), and shes young, beautiful and could have any man in the world that she wanted. In his dreams though, well that was a different story, he dreamt about her every night, and what he would do to her. How she screamed his name as she came. That was why he couldnt sleep, she was the reason he couldnt sleep at night.
"I wasnt meant to say that Gibbs. Kate is so gonna kill me"
"What do you mean, it would be unfair on Kate?"
"Oh come on you cant honestly say you havent noticed it!"
He looked at her completly confused, "What do you mean Abby?"
Great, now she had to tell him, Kate was definantly going to kill her now, "She loves you Gibbs"
He looked at her not believing her, "Yeah right!"
"Gibbs! She told me this morning!! Do you love her?"
"Of course I love her", he sighed uncharacteristically defeated, running a hand through his hair, ruffling his silver locks.
He hadnt realised that Kate was standing behind him, until she spoke up, "Really?", she asked surprised that he actually loved her and even more shocked that he had admitted that he loved her.
He turned, grinning like a fool, and kissed her passionately, pulling her into his arms, pressing himself against her.
When air was necessary, they broke apart leaning their foreheads against eachother and smiled.
"I love you Katie"
"I love you too Jethro"
