Rachel wasn't so sure about this but she was open to it. She never learned how to play a musical instrument, her voice was the only instrument she needed and it was louder and better than any guitar, piano, or trumpet. So when they were in Finn's basement and he noticed her curiously looking over his drum set he smiled and offered to show her how to play a little something.

Rachel sat down on the small stool in front of the drums and looked over her shoulder as Finn grabbed his drum sticks. He hooked his foot on the fold out chair a few feet away and pulled it over positioning it behind Rachel. She bit down on her bottom lip and was glad that Finn couldn't see how crimson her face had turned when he sat down behind her and pressed up against her back. Finn discretely breathed in the scent of Rachel's hair. It smelled like apples and honey. He loved that.

"Okay so we're just going to start off with the basics." He told her placing the drumsticks in her hands and lightly holding onto her wrists. He could feel his heart inside his chest pounding away like Animal from the muppets going insane on a drum solo. Finn briefly wondered if Rachel could feel it too or at least hear it. She tensed up when he practically folded his whole body around hers but she tried to play it off like she was just nervous because she knew nothing about the drums.

Clearing her throat and speaking as calmly as she could Rachel asked, "So what do I do first?"

"You're going to play four beats on the high hat." He knew Rachel was scrunching up her face in confusion at that and it made him smile to himself. He lifted up her right hand and gently tapped it on the high hat for four beats counting out loud.

"That wasn't so hard." She said after a few seconds. "What next?"

"Next you're going to hit the bass drum on the counts of one and three." Rachel nodded her head and Finn used his left hand to touch Rachel's thigh and guide her foot to the bass drum. She sucked in a breath and so did he. He loved it that she was wearing her short pink plaid skirt. "One." Finn counted and he helped her hit the high hat and made sure she played the bass drum. "Two." She hit the high hat again. "Three" She hit the high hat and bass drum at the same time. "Four. You're doing really good." He whispered into her ear and she shivered. "Next we're going to move onto the snare drum." Finn rested his head on Rachel's shoulder. She turned her head to look at him.

Their eyes locked and they leaned in at the same time. Their lips crashed together. The stool Rachel was sitting on was abandoned as she swung around and sat in Finn's lap. He almost tipped backwards on the chair but quickly caught himself. He was glad Rachel was so tiny but she was a force. His hands went under her skirt and cupped her butt. She moaned into his mouth and he stood up taking her with him. Rachel wrapped her legs securely around his waist and Finn squeezed his eyes shut painfully tight, desperately trying to think of the mailman so he didn't ruin things before they even got started. He attempted to take them over to the beat up old couch but ended up stumbling over his own feet and they went crashing down, Rachel falling on top of him. Finn hit his head against the floor on purpose at his own clumsiness. Rachel however, was giggling into his chest.

Finn started laughing as well and flipped them over. He wasted no time and captured her full lips in his.

"Finn?" Rachel's hand trailed down to the bulge in his pants. He managed to get out a strangled moan which she took for a 'what?' "I think I'm going to need drum lessons everyday if I want to get really good." There was a mischievous sparkle in her eyes.

"You're on."
