Some colors exist in dreams that are not present in the waking spectrum. ~Terri Guillemets

Did you know that just when you thought that you cannot possibly hurt anymore, you can? That when you thought you were at your breaking point, you bend a little more? Did you know that you would do almost anything for the pain to stop?
She did, or at least she does now.
Did you know know that when you are sure that you can't possibly cry anymore, the tears will just start again? Do you think you know what it's like to be completely alone in the world, bearing your pain as Atlas bears the weight of the sky?
She does.
Did you know that one dream, one tiny recess in reality can take all the pain away, make it like it never happened?
She does.
Did you know that when you wake up, it will hurt twice as bad as it did?
She does.
Did you know that purple was her favorite color, one she can't see anymore except for in her muted, lovely dreams in lavender?
She does.
Do you know how much she misses purple? Do you know how much she misses him?
She thinks she does.
But did you know that that one escape, that one short look at his sweet face will eventually help you regain your footing, stop dreaming in your shades of purple painkillers, and help you share your heavy burden?
She doesn't.
