I decided to edit my story. MarielofRW was right, it was missing something. It's not much, but it's a little better.
Disclaimer: I don't own Redwall. I'm just having some harmless fun.
The Truth"Mariel, will you marry me?"
"No. You're a warrior Dandin. I don't deserve you. It's not that I don't like you, I do, I really do, but-"
"Why not? You're a warrior too."
"I was getting to that. I'm a paint stripper."
Dandin promptly freaked out. "How?! How could you disgrace yourself this way?! How!!"
"If you don't believe me, I'll be stripping at the club at 87th and Spaghetti Street at 7 o'clock. And anyway, I'm engaged to Gabool."
Dandin was now in a quiet shock. "What?"
"Not the corsair, he's my coworker."
At 7 o'clock, Dandin went to the club on 87th and Spaghetti. He vaguely wondered why anyone would make a home in a sandwich, and paint it as well.
Then Mariel arrived, in a pair of worn out overalls. She held a sander in her hand. She plugged it in and started sanding. Dandin screamed.
He ran hundreds of miles, straight to Noonvale. He was looking for Aubretia. Not his true love, but he liked her very much.
He was running towards her house until he saw her: paint stripping! His heart stopped. He started towards the cliffs near the sea when…. he woke up.
"Where am I?" he wondered aloud.
"The Abbey infirmary. You got a bad head wound in the last battle. You've been in a coma," said Mariel. It was all coming back to him. Mariel and Aubretia weren't paint strippers! "How are you feeling?"
"Much better."
Aubretia walked in the room. "Oh Dandin you're up. Thankfully."
"Mariel, Aubretia, there's something I want to ask you…"
"What?" they chorused.
"You're not paint strippers, are you?" he asked nervously.
"How did you know? Just kidding. What gave you that idea, you dork," Mariel joked.
"We wouldn't be caught dead!" retorted Aubretia.
" I had a dream…… It seemed so real."
"It was that. Just a dream." Aubretia comforted.
"And you're not engaged, are you Mariel?" he asked.
"Yes, to you. I wouldn't think you'd forget."
"When did I ask you?"
"Right before you passed out."
He sighed. Mariel and Aubretia weren't paint strippers, he was engaged to the love of his life, and all was right in the world. Or was it?
Later…Hahah. There's not going to be a later. Please review my story, I have a fireproof suit, flames don't work, and I hope to have my next story up soon. Bye!!
