Funny bone
Just a short little funny I thought you might enjoy. :]
Seven of Nine was working in Astrometrics, when suddenly, a searing pain went through her elbow when she hit it on a console. "GODSS!" She cried, and ran to sickbay.
"What is the nature of the medical emergency?" Said the doctor in his normal monotone voice.
Seven ran right through the doctor, and when she realized she had, she quickly turned around and got the doctor's attention in a heartbeat.
"Seven, what's wrong?" The doctor asked, now thoroughly wondering what she had done to be able to make it to sickbay.
"Doctor…I seemed to have…ouch! That hurts! I seemed to have…oh what's the word…stubbed my radial humeral joint!"
The doctor just stood there a moment, and then laughed. Seven was rightly confused, and cocked an implant-clad eyebrow. "Doctor? What do you find funny?"
"Seven, all you did was hit your funny bone!" He said through laughter.
"Doctor, I don't see how hurting my radio-humeral joint is humorous…" Seven said, holding her hurt elbow.
"Seven…humerus…funny bone? See its humorous!" The doctor said trying to see if Seven would get the joke.
"The borg do not have 'funny bones'." Seven said to the doctor as she stood and left sickbay.
As soon as the turbo lift doors closed, Seven of Nine laughed until her stomach hurt, with tears rolling down her cheek. When she realized her stomach was hurting, she paused, and then laughed at that.
When she stepped off of the turbo lift, she quickly wiped the tears away and walked off to Astrometrics. Tuvok, who had been talking to Captain Janeway stopped, and his jaw dropped as he saw Seven of Nine step off of the turbo lift. Captain Janeway walked away unnoticing, leaving Tuvok to his own devices.
"Apparently it is a day for many firsts" thought the Vulcan, as a small smile crept its way across his face.
