Andy and Victoria Sugden are sorting through the late Annie Sugden's belongings. She had recently just passed away at the age of 102 and has been brought home to be buried alongside her first husband, Jacob, who's funeral was shown in the very first episode back in 1972, fifty years earlier. Andy comes comes upon an envelope, which is titled, ' Urgent! For the Attention Of Sugden, To be read by 2022.' This makes Andy Sugden take note. Victoria is too distracted by photographs, Andy hides the envelope in his pocket. Victoria shows Andy a picture of Sarah, Jack, Andy, Victoria and Robert all together before the turn of the century.
"Wow," Andy says, taking the picture from Vic. "Seems only just like yesterday."
"Yeah," Victoria agrees. "And look at us now ay."
"Seeing Robert there, who'd have thought in years to come, he..."
"I know, but as the saying always goes, "Don't judge a book by it's cover."
"Do you think I should take this to him?"
"No way, you don't owe him nothing?"
"Maybe not. Even though he killed Katie six years ago, he did seem to show remorse."
"Did you just have a three second memory And? Don't judge a book by it's cover. Anyway, he didn't seem to care much for Chrissie, when he threw he off that cliff two years ago."
"But, she was more evil than he was. Couldn't give a toss about that bitch. If you remember, she tried setting me for trying to bump off Lawrence a few years back. I was on the run for two years."
"OK, I guess, you can owe him at least his confession and for getting you off the hook, by showing Chrissies true colours...but that's all," Victoria insists.
"That's all I promise," Andy replies.
"I'll make us a cuppa."
"Ta."
Victoria heads off into the kitchen to make a brew. Andy takes out the envelope and looks at the front again. "Urgent! For the attention of Sugden. To be read by 2022."
What could the late Annie Sugdens message have been?
