A/N: This is something that came up whilst listening to Erasure, scout girl can tell you the affects the song in general that i was listening to affects my fics!
Ianto made his way through the Hub like he did everyday; he made Jack a coffee and brought him a couple of biscuits with the it, always to make sure that the captain had had something in the morning at least because Ianto was always concerned for his captain. But this morning there was no one to make the coffee for or to give a biscuit to because Jack was dead and Gwen wouldn't leave his body alone.
Tosh and Owen were out getting pissed, they were probably feeling sorry for themselves Ianto thought as he tidied desks and started sorting the Hub out, Ianto knew he would have to get Gwen away from Jack eventually but that would them mean that he was accepting that Jack was dead, and he wasn't ready for that just yet. Ianto didn't know if he'd ever be ready for that.
Ianto went out to get some coffee and food for Gwen, the only time she left Jack was to go to the loo. She wouldn't eat unless the food was brought to her, she wanted to save Rhys but she's spending her time with their fallen leader. Ianto just didn't understand what kind of person would do that, swear they love someone and nearly destroy the world just to bring them back, then spend the time with their dead boss.
Ianto shook thoughts like that out of his head as soon as they arrived, he would never think badly about a colleague, Gwen was just upset and he could relate to that, he'd lost Lisa and had made her feel more pain than was necessary just because he was foolish enough to think she could be saved, when in fact she was to far gone. But Gwen hadn't been sleeping with Jack… Had she? No she couldn't have been Ianto told himself she was sleeping with Owen, not Jack.
Every time she left Jacks side Ianto would go down and try to say a final goodbye and to zip the bag up, but Gwen would always come back and shout and scream at him, so in the end he gave up.
He started helping Tosh fix things while doing his other jobs on top, but he didn't expect Tosh to just run off like that, he wondered if it was something he had done, but when he looked around and saw Jack his heart leapt. Ianto didn't know what to do so he held his arm out for a handshake, but was instead enveloped in a hug. Maybe Ianto thought, just maybe things will be normal again.
What Ianto didn't expect was for Jack to leave them straight after coming back, and only Ianto and Tosh knew who Jack had left with. Jack had left with the Doctor, their no.1 enemy. Ianto couldn't help wondering if that then made Jack the enemy as well.
