(A/N) I had originally written a story along the lines of this, but I realised it was a bit confusing..So..I rewrote it. (; I hope you people like this one better.
You can be a sweet dream, or a Beautiful Nightmare.
Either way I dont want to wake up from you.
-Beyonce, Sweet Dreams (Beautiful Nightmare)
Chapter 1
"Its three in the morning, Alec.." Jace muttered, hauling himself up out of bed. He rubbed his eyes, and glared through his lashes at his friend. "Just because that Angel-Vampire hybrid thing is here, doesnt mean you had to wake me from my beauty sleep."
Alec rolled his blue eyes, and walked to Jace's dresser. He pawed through it until he discovered a neatly folded gray t-shirt. He tossed it to Jace, "Hurry up and get dressed. She's in the library waiting."
Jace raised a perfect eyebrow as he pulled the shirt over his head, his voice was muffled from it as he spoke. "If she's a Vampire, how is she able to step foot into the Institute? Shes damned.."
"If you stopped drooling over yourself, and paid attention once in a while, you would remember that shes only part Vampire. She's mostly Nephilim."
Jace shook his head and pushed the duvet away from his body, and stood, stretching his aching muscles. Alec looked at Jace for a moment, before disappearing out the door. Jace pulled on a clean pair of jeans. He ran his slender fingers through his fine curls before exiting his room.
Moonlight illuminated the library in a white-blue glow. The room was quiet execpt for the faint voices becoming louder as they approached the room. Pheobe sat on a plush couch, staring at her thin legs.
The door opened, and Alec, whom she had met a few minutes before, stepped in. He held the door open, and a boy entered the room.
He had the looks of an angel: fair skin, angular facial features. He was well built, but not disgustingly muscular. Blonde messy hair framed his perfect face, with eyes almost matching the hue of his curls. He looked at Pheobe as if she was something he had found growing in the back of a refrigerator.
"Pheobe," introduced Alec, "this is Jace." He gestured at the angel, who didnt even nod in acknowledgement.
"It is a pleasure to meet you," Jace's voice was expressionless.
Pheobe merely nodded. The way Jace looked at her – like she was disgusting – stung. She looked away, silent.
"..You dont talk much do you, Pheobe?" asked Jace, a arrogant smirk set on his beautiful face, "Not like thats a bad thing..I would prefer silence over your voice-" His voice was cut off by a soft grunt. Alec had jabbed him in the ribs with his elbow, earning a glare. Your so rude, his eyes read. Jace rolled his eyes.
"What are you here for, exactly?"
Pheobe looked at the boy, whos eyebrow was raised at an arch. She narrowed her eyes, "I was transferred from the London Institute. You have a rogue vampire problem, no? I'm most likely the only one of you that can enter their grounds, and come back unharmed without a scratch."
