In Honor Of
Jim watched as the people came from all over the city to see the opening. He recognized some of the people, they were
the people he had saved from mad bombers, dropping elevators, and all around bad guys. He also saw the Mayor. /This must
be more important than I thought./ Jim turned around as he felt an elbow jab in his ribs.
"Pay attention man, the ceremony is just beginning." Blair said from his seat beside Jim.
"I am Chief. I was just seeing who all is here." Jim turned around and looked at the speaker that was making his way to the
microphone.
"I can't believe you guys finally did it." Simon said from the other side of Blair.
"Well, I for one, CAN." Henri Brown said from the seats behind the three men.
"Yeah, me too." Rafe piped up.
"Will you guys shut up, it's starting." Megan said.
They all watched as the speaker turned around to talk to someone before turning to the audience.
"First of all," he began, "I would like to thank the crew involved in the building. They spent so many weekends finishing it.
But mostly, I would like to thank the men that made this possible. They spent so much time here, and so much money. They
have already put a lot of the Staff's children through college. Most of all, they kept our great city of Cascade safe. So, it is with
much gratitude, I dedicate the new hospital wing to Jim Ellison and Blair Sandburg."
The speaker was drowned out by the wild clapping and cheers from the audience. And the new hospital wing, named Elli-Burg,
was opened.
