Something to Believe In
Inu Yasha was lost in thought sitting up in a tree away from all of his friends, followers and enemies. He just needed sometime to think about Kikyou, Kagome, his friends and his enemies and they're foul traps, he needed to think. Kagome rustled through some shrubs until she came to see Inu Yasha sitting up in a tree staring into the stars. Boldly and bravely she continued towards him stopping just slightly underneath him. " Inu Yasha, what are you thinking about?" Kagome asked lifting her head to look up at him peering down at her. "Nothing…" he answered in a smooth lifeless tone. The half demon stood then gracefully hopped down from the tree branch and landed facing Kagome only a few feet away. " You were thinking about something defiantly important…" she persisted. " It… was… nothing…" He answered a little queasy this time to actually tell her or not to tell her what was on his mind. The hope washed from the young girls smiling face, her arms dropped hanging loosely at her sides. " Why … Inu Yasha…why wont you just open up to me like you have to Kikyou I care for you to! Even more than Kikyou could ever love!" Kagome shouted then whirled around as fast as she could disappearing into the forest from wince she came.
It started to rain just as she left a few droplets here and there then the rain just thundered down from the sky. Inu Yasha stood as if shocked so badly he couldn't move. In only a matter of moments he stood drenched, the rain soaking into his clothing, the wetness touching his skin. He fell on to his hands and knees his hands clasping and digging into the Earth's soil. Eyes tightly shut he felt the earth crumble away from around him. "What's wrong with me…why am I so difficult!" He screamed out into the rain. Rain drops sliding down his face until a crimson droplet out shined them all and slid down his face and twirled on its way down from his cheek splashing into a puddle of water. Suddenly he felt two small warm slender hands cup his cheeks then suddenly disappear just as they appeared. Inu Yasha looked up to see who it was I t was Rin the little human girl that travels with Sesshomaru and Jaken. Rin smiled then ran up away from him lifting his head to see where she was going Inu Yasha saw his older brother Sesshomaru standing before him not to far behind him was Jaken.
"Inu Yasha…" Sesshomaru said deeply and angrily as he came to Inu Yasha on his hands and knees. Inu Yasha clinched his eyes tightly shut for fear of his brother striking him. But nothing happened cautiously he opened his eyes.
Sesshomaru was before him kneeling and offering him his hand. "Don't give up yet … my little brother…" Inu Yasha was shocked he called him his little brother. Not Knowing what to say Inu Yasha starred blankly at him before cautiously taking his hand.
There were no tricks behind it...Sesshomaru his Older brother was there to Help and protect him.
