I love this player, so I'm doing a one-shot about him. By the way, I know he was married, but I don't know his wife's name so I'm improvising.
The rain beat down outside, and the room was filled with his fellow teammates, falling asleep, talking, or playing cards, in his case. He stunk at it, but he didn't care.
He saw some of the boys pushing back the plane, and he had a vision... one of a red plane circling the sky, of two kids chasing it excitedly, whooping and yelling. She was such a tomboy, that Eliza. Always running and climbing and jumping, and skating around on frozen ponds in the winter. There was nothing she wouldn't do, and he loved that about her.
"One day," he would say to her when they lay in the grass, looking up at the clear sky, "I'll marry you, and we'll both get on a plane. We'll fly away from this place and we'll go live somewhere special, someplace only you and I know of. We'll only tell our parents!"
They were twelve then, innocent, happy. They grew up together, and he became aware of just how beautiful and ladylike she had become, still with that devilish charm in her heart. When they had graduated, he had proposed, in the snow, on his knees with the ring and a smile he was sure had stolen her heart away.
"Buzzy? What do you have?"
He stepped out of the plane and onto the shaky earth with a dizzy uncovered feeling. "Umm... three fours," he said, placing them down.
"Eh," Bah said, and the guys around him said the same. Buzzy smiled and stared out of the window. Nothing could faze him, not when she was ever present in his eyes. Let's fly away, he heard her whisper, after their wedding reception, and he laughed to himself.
