I do not own Inuyasha…end of story! And tell me if I spelled their names wrong. (I HATE spelling!)

Sango's Silent Song

By: Roxworld

She dreamt of better days with her family. The warm feeling was there, then gone. She would wake up to the cold, harsh reality. Sango sat down on a log, looking up at the night sky through the trees. She pulled out a dagger. It would be so easy to join them; so easy to cut the bare thread of her life. She put it up next to her bare wrist and drew a shallow line of red. Naraku finally killed Kohaku. She buried him and all her hope the day before. No one could understand. She was the last of her people. She was tired of being strong. She was just human after all. No special powers, just her will to go on. But even that was gone now. She put the knife to her chest. The hard steel felt cold even through her cloths. It would be so easy to carve out the grief in her heart; to kill every feeling. She raised the dagger about to plunge it into her chest when a warm hand caught her in the action. It was Inuyasha, who had smelt the blood. His revenge was gone, since Naraku was dead. His eyes were softer then they had ever looked, since Kikio was layed to rest, and Kagome went home. Could it really be the hanyou, Inuyasha? She looked closer. No, he had purple lines on his face, and now that she was looking, his eyes were blood red. They where the only survivors. Sango thought of Myroku's death and Kirara and poor Shippo's. They sacrificed their lives and for what? Just for Naraku to be dead! At least Inuyasha got his wish to be demon from the Shikon no Tama, before Kagome destroyed it…Kagome, never to be seen again. Her eyes burned from holding back tears. "Inuyasha, let go!" she screamed. Sango convinced herself she needed to die, to become dust on this forsaken earth. He leaned over, "Sango, I…I need you." He whispered in her ear. It tickled. She laughed. He needed her! How absurd, he was his own demon. She was the person who needed someone. Inuyasha turned away and looked hurt. He was serious, she thought. Shock running through her body, making her drop the dagger. The only two remaining of the group, needing each other. She got up and grabbed him before he ran off. "I love you too." Sango put her lips against his, his arms wrapping around her waist. They broke apart for a second. "So I guess this makes you my mate?" Inuyasha asked. She thought of Kagome, then shook her head slightly, Kagome was a person in the past. She smiled at Inuyasha, "I think it does." Leaning forward for another passionate kiss, Sango forgot her sorrow and buried hope. A new life was beginning for the demon and demon slayer and both were going to move on, no matter how much hurt they had endured. But they would never forget the ones they lost.

So how do you like it? It is my first fanfic I have put up, though I have many more written. If you review and tell me that I should make in into a story, I might, but I'm really lazy! And I get very bad writers block. Thanks 4 reading!
