So, the one talking is my OC from FMA, Emily Elric. Who's in the HxH universe through the gate and being transported through the gate and eventually going home and coming back. If that makes any sense.

This poem is based off one written by a woman whose husband went to Vietnam and never came back. But I saw it on Pintrest.

When I first kissed you.

I thought you'd reject me.

"I'm sorry..."

But you didn't.

"What for?"

When I helped stop you from killing the Troupe's leader.

I thought you'd blame me.

"I... I shouldn't have gotten involved."

But you didn't.

"Thank you for stopping me."

When I left to go home.

I thought you'd hate me.

"Hey, I'm back."

But you didn't.

"Welcome back."

There were lots of things you didn't do.

But you waited for me.

Loved me.

Respected me.

There were so many things I wanted to make up to you.

When you returned to that hotel room.

"Kurapika... Please..."

But you didn't.

"I'm sorry Emily."
