This is just a theory.
In the movie, when Thanos snapped his fingers, 1/2 of the population died (universe) but the gauntlet looked broken/cracked but infinity stones still working (they are the most powerful weapons in the universe after all), my guess is that he would go to the forge , there are two possibilities that may happen
1: he will go and get another made, I am assuming that he still has the mold but when he does, the rest of the "avengers" come and fight him forcing him to retreat, and shatter the new/old gauntlet and the stones split except for the soul as he already killed 1/2 the universe already and they would be released if that did happen, so I think there will be another quest for the stones, and that is when Thor or someone will get a gauntlet as well to try to even the scales.
2: Thor will go back to the forge to get the second gauntlet from Eitri as he did show them it when Thor, Rocket and Groot were visiting to get the so called Thanos killing weapon made, though I think this theory is more likely as to get the kind of metal to make the gauntlet would require a very conductive and quite possibly rare material so Eitri cannot forge a new set of gauntlets, but he might have somemore and when Thanos does come the gauntlet still works for a bit and they fight and Thanos's gauntlet goes kaboom and another quest to find the stones...again.
Not sure if people will see this or not, so this is my first fanfic, although not my prefered one, I just had to get this out of my mind, and if people do see this, review your theories or mistakes in mine's
