Valentines Day.

A day of loving and giving, basically just like a sugar coated, lovey dovey, Christmas; if that was even possible.

For a certain young Master Sargent, it was a day for him to confess his love to someone rather close to him. He had even taken the liberty of baking her some chocolates. How he managed to do that without blowing up his kitchen was a mystery to all.

Kain Fuery was slightly put off, though, by the story Jean Havoc, possibly the most unlucky man in the world, had told him of a previous experience of giving a woman home made chocolates.

He really hoped to God he didn't end up poisoning the 1st Lieutenant with them. He had followed the recipe carefully and made sure that everything was perfect. He'd even wrapped them up in a cute little box with pink wrapping, tied up with a red ribbon. Fuery had always thought that red looked good on Hawkeye, it brought out the colour of her eyes.

Oh great and now he sounded like a sap.

Now he had to think of ways to give them to her without freaking out and looking like a total idiot...

And the advice he'd gotten from his friends was not helping.

Breda: Just give them to her... geeze...

No, he certainly couldn't do that. One, he wouldn't know what to say without stuttering. Two, whenever he saw Hawkeye he felt his heart sort of explode in his chest and he broke out in a cold sweat, loosing all his nerves and ending up running away.

Fallman: I wouldn't know... personally I don't like Valentines Day.

No wonder Fallman didn't have a girlfriend. He wasn't exactly the most romantic person in the world now was he?

Havoc: You could leave them outside of her door... or throw them at her and run...

Throw them at her?! What the hell had this man done in his previous existence?! But mind you, leaving them outside her door was an okay idea... but Black Hayate would probably eat them or Hawkeye would shoot them, thinking they were some kind of secret attack bomb. He could always post them too her... but the same would probably happen.

The other idea was he could just not give them to her. But he couldn't do that. What if she had feelings back and he finally had his chance of love?

Oh yeah... and he was SO not asking the Colonel for help. Not only was he a womaniser, but Fuery suspected him to be gay as well. There was no hope asking a gay man how to win a woman's heart.

Screw it.
