X-Men belongs to marvel. Now on to the story already.

The rain drizzled gently against the cracked, dirt encased windows of the Washington D.C. loft. Sharp green shoulder blades contrasted against a chiseled tan chest in the aurora of morning creeping through the windows. Demon eyes of a cajun thief could not be seen, nestled into the neck of the woman with the witch's flesh who lay beside him. She had finished college by 17, left Xavier's mansion by night at 18 to pursue her dream. He had searched for her relentlessly for months and discovered her hidden away in the dingy loft, the exquisite wings that lay against her back like a tattoo now lackluster, the same green as her skin. She worked in a desolate place serving the hands of the ones that counted her among the lowest of swine. Yet alas, her prince had found her, and finally she felt safe. Safe in a home where the walls were paper thin and the ceiling leaked without stop during the damp, cold winter months. The sky cried tears of ecstasy as their love was pronounced in the twilight hours through the threadbare walls. They had been unable to say it for so long, and now in the early hours of morning it was uttered as a greeting.
"...Remy?" muttered the woman.
"Yes, chère?" replied her thief.
"I love you."
"je t'aime."

Authors note: This is the first thing I've written willingly in awhile, and my first post to fanfiction! *gulp*
