Destruction

The fire rained down upon us as we ran
Explosions all around
Buildings destroyed in the blink of an eye
People lying in the streets
Bleeding, suffering, dying

I turn to look
Blood all around
Bodies, incomplete bodies
Everywhere
Limbs lying in the streets
Their bodies' meters away
So much destruction
So much death

And one
With wild hair
In the middle of it all
Standing, smirking

Children running
Screaming for their parents
Running closer to the demon
Panicking, looking for their loved ones
Who are already gone
Their bodies' thrown, ripped apart
By the force of the explosions

With a wave of the demon's hand
Come more explosions
More destruction
More suffering
More death

How could one do so much
Why is he doing this
What did we do to deserve such cruelty

He turns my way
His smirk growing
Finger pointed in my direction
A flash of light is the last thing I see
Before I see no more
For all eternity
