I do NOT own Ginga series or Animorphs!

[Weed's POV]

I awoke to the sound of howling in the sky; my friends celebrating their victory over Hougen's downfall. It had been months since everything happened – my rise as Leader and Hougen's defeat – but everything just seemed as though it happened yesterday. Time always flies by, yet I still remember getting torn into by the Dane's sharp fangs.

Time, however, didn't change the regret I still felt over banishing Jerome – one of my best allies, my mentor, and friend. My heart always filled with worry as I began to think of what would become of him, even if he had been saved by my father's human friend Daisuke. I could only pray to God that he was okay.

That being said, my mind began to whirl with the millions of questions that I feared to ask myself. Was I nothing more than a naïve little brat? I was strong – physically – but a few of my comrades called me such a thing as naïve, when I'd spared the Foxhound spies. Even though Tesshin and my other comrades told me otherwise, my heart and soul wondered if they were both in the right place.

"Of course they aren't," a cold and unfamiliar male voice mocked from behind me. I turned around to face a strange wrinkly purple creature. He was no bigger than Mel and had strange hook-like blades for hands.

"Who are you?" I demanded, knowing that this creature was evil. The mockery in his voice was proof of that.

"You're so caught up in your naïve sense of morality it's almost laughable," the creature laughed. "My dear Weed – Leader of Ohu – how long before your pure heart becomes corrupt because of your mistakes? How long before your pack – who follow your every pitiful word – leaves you because of your pitiful excuse for peace? How long before you decide to make a decision that causes every dog in your pack to disown you?"

In an instant, I glared at the creature with brave defiance. "You obviously don't know me, you freak of nature," I growled. "You might be trying to tempt me into becoming something that I'm not, but my heart will always be filled with light. The light, bravery, and strength of an Ohu dog soul. Whatever bullshit you're going to spit in my face will fail miserably."

The creature's eyes widened in shock, as if he'd never been defied before. "You don't know what you're saying," he hissed.

"I do know what I'm saying," I snarled. "I know where my heart is, where it leads me, and where it has lead me. To peace and friendship with my pack – my friends. Something you'll never have in your life, you little worm."

The creature was at a shock for what seemed like the first time in his life. For almost a full minute, he couldn't speak, knowing fully well that I was right in what I said. Knowing fully well that my heart was in the right place. Knowing fully well that, no matter what was said, he'd never be able to corrupt me.

Finally, he disappeared from all sight and sound, allowing silence to settle over my Ohu Paradise. I looked at every single one of my friends – Mel, Hook, Ken, Kagetora, Kyoushiro, Hiro, Rocket, Kyoushiro, and Tesshin. My kindness was the very trait that won every one of them over. I knew that, no matter what happened, they would forever see what kind of Leader I was – and forever would be.

What did you think of my Ginga series/Animorphs X-over? Would you (Please) read & review? Thank you. :)
