Normal day
Homura walks home with Madoka by her side.
"It's a normal day today." Homura spoke and rubbed her two cold hands together. She let out a breathe as the white smoke came out from her mouth and gone with the wind. "Normal is good." She continued.
Madoka smiled. "But I know you liked it! Mami's log cake is the best isn't it?" She put both hands behind her back and chortled. "Kyoko ate five slices!"
Homura smiled and glanced at the sky and finally stopped walking. She sighed and brought her warm sweater closer to her skin for more heat. "It's Chirtsmas... even magical girls need a break... I guess...?"
"You deserve it. Everyone deserve a break no matter what." Madoka said and walked forward, standing in front of Homura who was still staring at the sky. "I bet it's going to snow tomorrow! We can build a snowman and play snowball fights! We shall enjoy ourselves like a normal teenager girls with no burden to carry at all!"
Homura looked down and started walking as she gave a tiny smirk. She loves the weather today. It's cold, but she's able to keep warm too. Her long hair that covered her neck, the sweater that Mami made especially for her being worn nicely on her. It's a pleasant. There's nothing more Homura could ever wanted.
Finally Homura reached her own house. She fiddled with the keys and finally found the correct one to open the door. Madoka waited happily behind her, humming a tone she made up on the spot. She quickly scurried into the house once Homura pushed the door open and immediately exclaimed in glee when she felt much warmer in the house.
"I should turn on the heater" Homura said as she rubbed her cold hands. Although it's much warmer in the house, it's not warm enough for her to remove her sweater.
"That'll be great!" Madoka bounced.
As Homura adjusted the heater, Madoka went up to the sofa and sat down heavily. Madoka stretched and laugh. "I still think that today is the best Christmas eve party ever! Don't you think so Homura-chan?"
When Homura finished doing what she was doing, she walked up to the sofa and sat down with her bloated stomach and heavy head. "I'm so full though..." Homura sighed.
Madoka smiled. "It's fun right?! It'll be great if Sayaka was ther-"
"It would be great... if Madoka is..." Homura bit her lips before covering her tired eyes with her arms. She laid her the back of her head on the edge of the sofa.
Madoka blinked her eyes sadly, the bright Goddess gown touched Homura's leg, but she couldn't feel it. Homura wasn't allowed to feel it in the place. Madoka touched Homura's arm and gave a soft whisper. "I'm here already Homura-chan. I'm always by your side, no matter what."
"I want to see you..." Homura blurted out.
"I came to see you every day because I want to see you too." Madoka looked away and let go of Homura's arm. "I'm sorry that I didn't let you see me. I'm sorry that I'm selfish."
Homura put down her arm, her eyes closed and there were faint tear marks down her cheeks. Madoka's heart broke right at that moment. Homura started to took off her sweater when the heater started to work, leaving only a plain T-shirt on her skin.
"You look cute, Homura-chan." Madoka gave a faint smile.
Setting down her sweater, Homura looked up at the ceiling. "Hey Madoka. I don't know if you can hear this, but... I just feel like talking to you."
Madoka shifted closer and rested her head on Homura's shoulder. "I'm listening, Homura-chan."
"I..." Homura shook her head. "Today, Mami had a Christmas party..."
"Umhmm." Madoka nodded her head.
"It was... fun I suppose. It's been long since we had a rest. Fighting demon and stuff."
"Umhmm." Madoka responded.
"And... erm. Mami baked a log cake and..."
And for the rest of the night. Madoka stayed up listening to Homura's day.
