Chapter 1
Ralph was getting the baby's nursery done. He was excited that him and his girlfriend were having a little girl. His girlfriend was eight months pregnant. After Ralph had finished up the nursery he went to check on his girlfriend. "Hey babe.", he said. She said "Hey." He asked, "How's our little princess?" "She's been kicking and moving around." Ralph smiled. "She'll be doing that. We still have one more month to go after this one." His girlfriend smiled again. "Hey let's go to bed." He told his girlfriend. "sounds good." He carried her to bed. After the month had passed it was the ninth month. Their baby was due any day now.
The next day she felt something dripping she noticed her water had broke. She screamed for him, "Ralph! It's time!" He got her to the hospital. They got there and they put her in a room right away. "Ralph don't leave!" The dr. came in and said "You're ready to push. Ok. Ready? 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. And breath." Ralph's girlfriend looked at him and yelled right at him saying, "You did this to me! I hate you so much Ralph Dibny!" Then the dr said push again. She pushed again, "Ahh!" Then the dr said, she's almost here. Keep pushing." Ralph's girlfriend kept pushing. The dr finally said, "ok this is the last big push." His girlfriend pushes. The dr. said, "push, push, push." They hear a cry. The dr said "dad would you like to cut the umbilical cord?" Ralph cuts it.Then something happens to his girlfriend. "Babe?" Ralph said. The nurses take Ralph out of the room. "What's happening to her?!" Ralph waited until a dr came to talk to him. "Is my girlfriend and baby ok?" The dr told Ralph, "I'm sorry sir but your girlfriend died and your baby is doing ok." Ralph sat thereand cried.
