The Bright Moon

As I walk through the garden, tending to the tangerine grove, I see that the moon shines brightly at night through my window with none else in sight. Enough to light the ship, enough to make me long to sit and watch it forever but I wish I had someone else to share this with. With her fairly orange hair and her deep brown eyes which had seen plenty. Her slim, yet beautiful body. Her laugh, her smile, her laughter.
I yearn to spend these nights with her when I cannot sleep and sit upon Lion-chan's head.
Yet, I know that this will never happen. In the crossfire between us and the marines, she was shot in front of me, protecting me. I saw her life being ebbed away by that bullet with her in my arms.
I cried and I yelled when I heard her say her last words,"I love you, Luffy."
