Chapter One

Mordecai picked up the two photos lying in front of him. The photo on the right was of a robin named Margaret. Margaret had been his crush for the longest time. He wasn't sure if he wanted to continue being 'just friends' with Margaret. She brought out the sensitive side of Mordecai. He felt like the only guy in the world when she was around. She made him feel safe. It wasn't any suprise that he had a hard time hiding his feelings for her. His best friend Rigby was always telling him to ask her out. According to Rigby, Mordecai got shaky and stuttered a lot when Margaret was around them. He couldn't keep his feelings secret forever. The second picture was of a cloud-girl named C.J. He didn't really think of C.J. the way he thought of Margaret. He had gone out with C.J. for a short period of time then decided it wasn't going to work. C.J. didn't take it well. She thought of Mordecai as another heartless jerk when she had seen him give Margaret the ticket to the movie he had already invited C.J. to. She saw it as his way of cheating on her. However, that wasn't the case at all. Mordecai sighed as he tossed both photos back into their box and placed the lid on top. He shoved the box underneath his bed and fell asleep.

The next morning, Mordecai and Rigby sat at their usual table in the coffee shop. Margaret was on her break, so it was Eileen's shift. Eileen was a mole with glasses who had strong feelings for Rigby. Even though Rigby had said he didn't like her like that, everyone could tell he was lying. Eileen took Rigby's coffee mug and filled it with fresh coffee. Rigby thanked her and took a sip. Mordecai had been staring at his phone for about two minutes. Rigby glanced at him worriedly.

''Dude, are you okay?'' Rigby asked. Mordecai nodded, not taking his eyes off the screen. Eileen looked at Rigby was concern.

''Is he alright?'' She wondered. Rigby shrugged.

''I don't know. He's been staring at that phone for two mintues straight.'' Rigby replied, waving a hand in front of Mordecai's face. Mordecai blinked and looked at the small raccoon. Rigby stood up on his stool.

''What's going on, Mordecai?'' He asked supportively. Mordecai chuckled nervously.

''What? Nothing. Yeah, nothing. It's just a funny text message.'' Mordecai said. Rigby glanced at Mordecai's phone and saw that the top said 'Twitter'.

''It's not a funny text message. You're on Twitter!'' Rigby said. Mordecai was sweating. He chuckled nervously again.

''Did I say text? I meant tweet.'' He said nervously. Rigby wasn't fooled. He got down off his stool and grabbed Mordecai's phone off the table. Mordecai jumped up and tried to snatch his phone back. Rigby threw the phone to Eileen, who caught it and read the screen.

''C.J. wants to get back together with you?'' Eileen cried as she finished reading the tweet. Mordecai sighed.

''Yes.'' Rigby's eyes widened.

''That's great, Mordecai!'' He yelled as he gave Mordecai a hug.

''No, it's not!'' He responded. He was still in love with Margaret. He didn't want to be a heartless jerk and reject C.J. again. His phone started buzzing. Eileen pressed a button and held the phone to her ear.

''Hey, C.J.''
