Gajeel looked around the guild hall, observing his surroundings, as Wendy talked to the exceeds about magic and other things. The crisp smell of beer and happiness filled the air, causing even the sad to smile and the drunk to get a lot more drunk quicker, basically Cana was all over the place.
"…so this jobs offer has gone up to 300,000 jewels,you're all lucky to get this one while you had the chance!" the master gave a slip of paper to Jet, Droy, and Levy, who had large backpacks on their backs and on the floor. After receiving more info, the trio set off, walking past Gajeel on their way out.
Levy stopped abruptly on their way out next to Gajeel,who looked up at her As she went to say something to Gajeel, he spoke first, "Gihi,is the shrimp gonna be fine with those two for a week.", he looked over at Jet and Droy, who were waiting rather impatiently by the door. There was a slight worried tone in his voice as Levy noted, this is different. "I'll be okay,I am useful too ya know!" Levy pouted at the end of the sentence, averting her eyes from Gajeel`s red ones, a pinkish tone across her cheeks. "Oi" Gajeel patted her head a couple of times,"don't become a shrimp cocktail." And with that, Shadow Gear set off,levy storming away muttering and cursing under her breath "stupid Gajeel."
Lily looked over at Gajeel, "That was a nice insult,shrimp cocktail,you should use it more often" Gajeel glared at lily and heavily sighed "whatever"
~Later on~
As Gajeel opened the door to his home, he couldn't help but feel uneasy about something. He shook off the feeling and grabbed a piece of iron, which he bit into and sat down on his bed. Lily joined him, sitting on the ledge of a window.
"So, what's your opinion on levy?" Lily asked Gajeel after a moment's silence. Gajeel swallowed the iron and looked at him, confused "What do you mean, what's this question all of a sudden…" Gajeel thought and took another bite of iron "I mean*crunch*, Levy is short,shes a pain in the ass, and yeah...*munch*, is that what you're looking for?" The exceed sighed and shook his head "You really must not know much then….oh well. I`ll be off, see you tomorrow" and with that, Lilly went into the other room to sleep, leaving a confused Gajeel by himself. Shrugging he too got up, got changed, and went to sleep, all the while his mind sputtering out how really feels about the girl he teases every day. Gajeel massaged his head, his cheeks heating up a little bit "Why do I keep thinking about the shrimp?"
Just thinking about her, Gajeel felt uneasy again. Maybe he should of have snuck off on the mission with them, although the master wanted levy to go with her team for once and not have Gajeel tag along with them. but it did seem like a tough mission,lots of fighting involved not really scriptures like she usually applies for. "Levy will be fine…"he half assured himself as he fell into a deep slumber.
