What if Penny never said she loved Leonard, but instead always took for granted that he always knew?
Penny`s school partner left her apartment as Leonard looked out from his apartment. He looked like the boyfriends she used to go out with.
As he left her apartment. Leonard left his apartment to tell him, and remind him that Penny already had a boyfriend.
When he was sure he had gotten his point across, Leonard went back upstairs,accidentally running into Penny right outside her apartment door.
She saw where he had come from and guessed what he had done.
"Leonard, you are driving me crazy; he already knew you were my boyfriend. Your picture is on my fridge. So stop it."
He looked at her hoping she would say more to him. But she finished and walked by him in her uniform and went to work. She didn't see the sad look in his eyes as she went by him.
She noticed that Leonard was acting different towards her.
She asked Sheldon later if he noticed that Leonard was acting differently.
"No," he answered back.
She also asked his friends if they noticed him acting differently.
They all answered no.
When Wolowitz got a job for Leonard working on Stephen Hawkings boat in the north sea for the summer. But if that was what he what to do, she was going to let him.
Penny's scare for Leonard. But it was what he wanted to do she would let him.
So Penny took him to the airport with Sheldon. As she kissed him goodbye, she though to her self that she would tell him she loved him when he got back. She promised him she would take care of Sheldon until he got back.
When there was only a month and a half left until Leonard came home from the north sea. She learned from Sheldon that he was not coming back home.
He had called ,e-mailed message and sent his last month`s rent. Movers had come when she was at work and moved all his things into storage. He had called told Sheldon told him not to tell Penny unless she asked him.
Penny thanked him, then ran back to her apartment and shut the door, curled on her couch started to cry.
Later when she had stopped crying but was now sitting with her back on the couch, when she heard Sheldon knocked on the door.
She stood up and let him in, just to hear him mutter "what did I do to make him leave?"
She didn't say anything but she thought about the things that she had never said out loud but thought about. (I love you Leonard)
