Hi, people! Here's my first fan fiction. Please note that it is my first fan fiction so don't be mean. Another note, thanks to Stefan_sama for beta reading and fixing mistakes. Oh, and I don't own Kingdom Hearts and its characters in any way.

So, since that's taken care of, let's begin!

The night was dark and empty. I was standing there on an empty island. That is, empty until he came. He was running towards me, with a look of concern on his face.

"Sora!" I called out as he reached me. Then the island split apart "Ah...!" I gasped. I started falling over, but he caught me and formed a tight grip with my hand. "Kairi!" he began. "Remember what you said before? I'm always with you, too. I'll come back to you, I promise!"

" I know you will!" I replied. Then our grip was lost, and, out of nowhere, Simple and Clean started playing.

Sora reached out, but we were too far apart. He kept trying to reach for my arm again. What the heck, Sora? We're, like, thirteen feet away! Even the Keyblade Master can't reach his arm as far as those Namekians from that Japanese Anime, Dragon Ball Z!

But, eventually he fell back, watching helplessly as I fell down. Finally! Someone regained their common sense!) I watched him float away, but then something else caught my eye. There were these floating orbs of light, raining on both of our islands, the first orb finding itself in my enclosed hands. I looked up at the sky, and it looked like I saw Maleficent for some reason. Um…….. Ok????? This is getting creepy...

It continued raining orbs of light; Sora also looking at the sky, watching the orbs fall down, evaporating when they met solid ground. He held out his hand a bit (probably trying to catch one and sell it on eBay) but, instantly gave up.

Then, a flash of light made me turn around and gasp. The orbs were falling on the island, but then they flashed and disappeared. But the thing that caught my eye was something else. Where the orbs disappeared, Destiny Islands took their place.

The orbs were somehow recreating the island. Trees and bushes were growing back including the really big one), the platforms of wood were growing back, popping out of the really big bush I was thinking about. The waves came back crashing against the sand in a soft and gentle way.

In no time, the island was fresh and new, just like the way it was before the Heartless came. Sora was yelling some random, cheesy things at me. "Be safe! Don't be lonely! Don't go looking for me, I'll be alright! And I'll come back! I won't break my promise!"

Then, he disappeared into a bunch of blue light. Once he was gone, the blue light came down from the sky, exactly like the sun. But, right before it evaporated, it separated into streaks of blue light. These streaks changed into blue shooting stars, and they bounced around wildly like Sora on a sugar high.

I was amazed; the sight was even more amazing than the sunset, even more amazing than the Fourth of July. I continued watching, recalling the last thing he said to me. "I won't break my promise."

I closed my eyes, tears washing down my face. I know you won't forget. After all, you still need to return my good luck charm. I guess…… The charm will be like an oathkeeper. As long as you keep it… It will keep our oath.

I continued watching the sky, and with one last tear, I went towards my secret place.

As long as you keep my charm, it will act as an oathkeeper. Keep the charm and remember our oath, the oath that will one day bring us back together.
