It was cold, still is…
I was hitching from the big city and heading towards some connections I've made a while back… I just figured that if I paid my IOUs, that I might crash in somebody's shed for a night. Hell knows, it's not like I was expecting a pillow.

Then I heard a stone get kicked up, as this late model Chevy came smoking down the road… no, it wasn't fast, it was actually smoking. This old geezer hops out, cussing the engine like it was the antichrist. He's blabbering to me like an idiot, explaining how this young fella sold him the truck… how he told him the price was a steal, and forgot to tell him there were bullet holes in the radiator, how they got there, neither the geezer or I could guess, but we shook hands that If I, by some miracle could fix it, he'd give me a ride into town, Which, he told me was 15 miles from the farm we could smell.
So I told him to sit still and I'd be back in a minute…
Ten minutes later I come back with chicken shit on my shoes, as I bring a shirt load of eggs back with me. He sarcastically asked me if I wanted an omelet.
I set my shirt on the ground and asked if the can in the back of truck just happened to be water. He said yes…
So we started the truck and let it smoke…
I pulled him close and told him I'd show him a magic trick… as he stared wildly at me and I started breaking eggs into his radiator cap.
The eggs fried, sealing the holes and allowing us to pour the water in…
On the way to the local mechanic, he dropped me off in the town square, gave me two dollars.
