For a moment he couldn't move. It didn't matter that there was a giant murderous dinosaur behind him. His whole being was taken by the fact the Claire had left the safety of the building she and Gray and Zach had been under.
What was she doing?
His attention was quickly brought back as the Indominus made its next move, almost taking him out. He jumped towards the shelter the boys were in.
They were terrified. He was terrified.
Suddenly he heard a sound. It wasn't the Indomius as it was in front of them. No it was another large animal and what was that clicking noise?
Was that heels? He could barely see, but picking his head up he saw the most amazing sight. Claire was sprinting towards them, barely visible behind a red glare. The T-Rex was charging behind her, entirely focused on Claire as its prey, until she pitched the flare towards the Indominus.
"RUN!" She screamed.
He grabbed the boys and sprinted towards her.

Owen had just sat down on Claire's couch when he asked her, "why?"
Claire stared at him for a moment.
"Why what?" It was clear the she knew what he was asking.
"You are the most insanely brave woman, I have ever met." Owen gently placed his hands on either sides of Claire's face, and looked deeply into her eyes.
"We needed more teeth," she replied in the simplistic know it all way that only Claire could manage.
Owen couldn't help the impish grin that crept onto his face.
"And you did it all in those monstrosity of shoes."
