Chapter 1
Edward leaves Bella in the forest. Little did he know that Bella was going to be killed. Jacob, who is Bella's best friend and confidant, sensed that something was wrong and he instinctly ran to Bella's house to make sure that she is safe. But unfortunately, Bella was out. He found a note on the dining table and realized that she was in the forest. He was worried about her safety so he ran to the forest to find her. After Edward had left, Bella felt unwanted so she knelt down and cried. She paid no attention to the surroundings because there was a shadow behind a tree. It was Victoria. She waited behind that tree and waited until it was safe to confront her. When it was clear, she crept up behind Bella and pulled Bella up to face her.
"Go ahead and kill me. It is meaningless to survive. Do what you wanted to do months ago NOW!" Bella screamed at Victoria and she put out her neck. "Hahaha! You think I'll kill you just like that? I will play a game with Edward and then I'll slowly kill you." Victoria sneered. The moment she placed her mouth near Bella's throat, Jacob reached and he pulled Victoria away from Bella. "Go Bella! Run away from me!" Jacob ordered Bella. Bella heard a growling sound coming out of Jacob and he transformed. "Who's this? A third party? HHHhHHow interesting. A vampire, a mortal and a DOG! The game's going to be real fun for all! Hahaha!" Victoria sneered. Bella heard this from above a very tall tree. Jacob took a step forward and Victoria's smug melted away. She looked worried. "Put me down this very instance!" Victoria yelled. Jacob has entered his territory and Victoria knew the consequences. She struggled to break free but Jacob's grip was very strong. He opened his jaws and snapped into Victoria's arm. He tore off her arms. Jacob howled for the others.
(Meanwhile at Paris where Alice and Jasper were on a honeymoon…)
Just as Jasper was about the kiss Alice, she jerked up from where she was lying and dashed to get her phone. Jasper looked disappointed. "What's wrong Alice?" Jasper asked. Alice told him, "We've got to find Edward and the rest. I forsee a war breaking between Victoria and an invisible force. Bella need us now." She speed dialed Edward. "Edward, it's about Bella. … Yes. … Bella's with Victoria and… What?! A werewolf? … Oh dear! Jasper and I will be heading East. You and Carlisle and the rest go South. See you there. Bye." She turned towards Jasper and kissed him. "Come on. Let's go. We'll have our honeymoon again. Next time you'll call the shots." Alice assured him. Alice calculated the time and they decided to run to La Push instead.
On the other hand, Edward managed to get the rest of the Cullens and they ran towards La Push from their own destinations. Edward got there first and saw the wolf pack holding Victoria hostage. The Cullens took over from the wolf pack and they stood away from the dismembered body. Emmett brought out a lighted driftwood and he burned Victoria. The Cullens turned and went back to where they came from. Even the wolf pack has disappeared. Feeling faint from inhaling the smoke, Bella passed out and landed head-first on the ground.
