Percy and Annabeth sat on the couch in their apartment dressed in sweatpants and t-shirts watching TV. He had his arm around her shoulder and she was resting her head on his chest.
The doorbell ran, disrupting their peaceful silence. Annabeth got up and grabbed her wallet from the kitchen table. She took the bags from the deliveryman and handed him a couple bills. Then she thanked him politely and shut the door.
Annabeth sat back down on the couch opening the bags in front of her.
"I just love Chinese food," she told her boyfriend.
He smiled and nodded, reaching for his food.
"No," Annabeth frowned, "that one's mine. This one's yours."
"No…." Percy said frowning as well, "that one is yours. This one is mine."
"No…."
"Yes…."
"NO."
"YES"
"We can share both of them," Annabeth suggested. She got up and brought two plates from the kitchen. Carefully, she split both meals in half, putting each half on a plate.
"See? Sharing is caring." Annabeth smirked.
They settled back down on the couch eating their steaming Chinese food.
"Annabeth? Could you get me a napkin?" Percy asked, his mouth full of food.
Annabeth sighed and put her plate on the coffee table. "Be right back."
When Annabeth returned to her spot, Percy's plate was on the table next to hers.
"Thank you," he mumbled. Then, "OH MY GODS LOOK AT THAT!"
Annabeth turned.
"What? I don't see anything."
She snapped back around to glare at her boyfriend…. who was holding a box. Containing a ring. Annabeth clamped her hands over her wide-open mouth, tearing up.
"Will you marry me?" Percy asked nervously.
"Of course!" She tackled him, planting a kiss on his lips and smiling. "Of course I will…"
