Have you ever wondered what happened during the one year time skip in the series? There are questions that keep coming up in my head like 'What did Saya and Haji do for all of that time?' 'How did Saya feel about Haji?' and mostly 'Did things between them begin to heat up?' Rated M for lemon and lime it's a limon © peeps.
Chapter 1
Saya followed feebly behind Haji as the sun set under the hills.
"Saya," he stopped and turned to face her, "it is late. You need to rest. We should stop for now and continue in the morning."
"Hai (yes)" She agreed quietly "you're right."
They sat beneath a large tree and Haji pulled her blanket from his cello case. She sighed as she pulled it close to her body.
"Haji," She said after a while, "We cannot go back."
He looked over to her.
"We cannot go back to Kai, or the Red Shield. I won't let anyone else get hurt fighting my battles. And I won't let another innocent human be killed because of my blood."
"If that is your wish." He stated.
"Arigatto (Sp?) (Thank you), Haji."
Saya soon fell into a deep sleep. Haji gazed at her, his heartbeat quickening with each passing second.
'Saya' He thought 'Why is it that I cannot tell you how I feel?'
Chapter 2
Saya paced herself as she and Haji continued up the steep hill that next morning.
"Haji," She stated "Where are we going?"
"There is a small cabin not far from here that I used to stay in while you were sleeping. You need to rest before we continue searching for Diva."
"Alright" She said after a moment.
She looked up at the sky. Dark clouds shielded the sun's powerful rays and a small bluebird flew overhead. She gave a fait smile as she continued ahead.
'Saya' Haji thought, 'why do you try to hide your sadness with smiles?'
After a while of traveling, They came across a small cabin in a nearby forest. Haji opened the door and led Saya inside. He lit a few candles to bring some light into the dark room. Saya looked around. On one side of the cabin, there was a wooden bench, a bookcase, a table with four chairs, a row of cabinets, and a stove. On the other side, there was a bed, a wooden dresser, a bathroom, and a desk with a collection of fountain pens and paper.
"This place was abandoned many years ago." He informed her.
"Ã sõ (I see)" She replied
He helped her sit down on the bench
"Do you think that the others will be alright?" She wondered
"I cannot say for sure. They should be fine though."
She nodded slightly and hugged the blanket tighter around her body. Saya felt a chill run down her spine as hajI embraced her gently in his hold.
'oh hajI,' She thought, 'Why can't I understand these feelings I get when I'm around you?' She felt her abdomen throb as he comforted her, 'why do I feel this way all of a sudden? Why can't I controll my feelings when you hold me like this?'
Tears streamed down her cheeks as she gripped a hold of him. She began to sobb.
'Saya,' He thought, 'I wish I could take all of this pain away from you.'
'HajI…'
'Saya…'
Then they thought in unision 'I think that I am in love with you…'
