Game
A merry-go-around, that's what it is
This chase we engage,
mindlessly, pathetically
Hopelessly... You and I,
Now,
that is food for thought, is it not?
On first
glance,
You would perch on one of those dull, ugly wooden
horses
At times throwing me coy looks, as I gaze up at you
longingly,
Declaring hate and muttering profanities
On
second glance,
I think I'd rather starve
This
insatiable hunger - contempt - ruthlessness
I'd lick the
side of your jaw and watch you shiver,
The hazy moonbeam
reflecting the danse macabre in your eyes
And once again, I
worship in morbid fascination,
Your eyes, the green, green
eyes I liken to jade -
Shattered pieces of the deepest
shades
So impossibly exquisite, so excruciatingly
beautiful
When the hint of sun peaks into the
heavily draped room,
You'd sneak out of bed, and I'd pretend
to sleep on
The rules of the game -
Put on a poker
face and we'd go back pretending,
Pretending each other is
mere oxygen,
So worthless, so...
--
Alive
IloveyouIhateyouIlovehatelovehate...
You'd
never notice how I wince when I hurt,
And I'd never care how
you ache when you bleed.
