Akatsuki's Blood Blossom

Prologue

Enter: Sakura no Akatsuki

Birth

Amegakure

Akatsuki base

In the Akatsuki base, all members were sleeping except for one Akasuna no Sasori. He was standing watch outside of the medical room which held their leaders wife and their yet to be born child. She was to give birth any day now and no one was taking any risks, so they decided to have her sleep in the medical ward for safety precautions.

And thank God for that too because not even an hour into the night an ear piercing scream echoed throughout the base, waking up everyone in a three mile radius, even if they were in a deep sleep.

Sasori jumped to his feet from the couch he was sitting on and into the room where Konan was laying down in, a pained expression on her face, covered in sweat and still screaming, almost to the point of bursting into tears. Sasori ran out of the room to get help from the doctors to help Konan.

Sasori ran until he bumped into the head doctor himself. He must have heard the scream because behind him were a few other nurses. As soon as the doctor saw Sasori he knew Konan was giving birth.

"Someone must go and wake up Leader-sama, Konan-sama is giving birth!" Said the head medic of the Akatsuki base; Dr. Sato, as he ran the way Sasori had just came so he could get to Konan.

"What? No, that can't be possible! She wasn't supposed to be due for another few days, maybe weeks!" Another nurse said as she stared on in horror.

"Well that's not what the baby said! Now go wake Pein-sama!" Yelled Dr. Sato, a second later the same nurse ran down the hallways of the Akatsuki base, trying to find Pein.

Within minutes a dark figure with fiery orange hair was walking briskly through the corridors of the base. Opening the door that lead to the living room were all of his subordinates were, looking extremely exhausted, half asleep on their feet. The man raised an eyebrow, silently asking them about what they were all doing there. However, before anyone could speak, another scream echoed throughout the base. Sighing, the man rubbed his fingers to his temple, sending chakra to soothe the on coming headache. At least now he knew why they were all here, who could sleep with such loud screaming?

The screaming only got louder when the door of which the screams originated from opened, revealing Dr. Sato who had sweat on his brow.

"Pein-sama, Konan is seconds away from beginning the process of giving birth. You need to be in there with her, she needs you."

Pein nodded his head and gave one last look to his members before her followed Dr. Sato, walking into the room where his wife was giving birth.

Several grueling hours later.

"Congratulations Konan-sama, it's a beautiful, healthy little girl." One of the maids spoke as she gave the tired looking woman her child.

"Look Pein, isn't she beautiful?" Questioned the woman as she stroked the baby's pink hair, although it was an odd color, though her and Pein didn't exactly have the most normal colors of hair either. "What should we name her?"

"Sakura, Akatsuki no Sakura."

Konan smiled, "Perfect." They both looked as she opened her pretty green eyes for the first time, and were in awe.

They were swimming with different shades of green and were full of curiosity and wonder. She was just simply amazing.

About an hour later, the other members of the notorious gang were in the room, looking at the pink bundle of joy.

One of the members with slicked back silver hair and magenta eyes walked up to get a better look at the baby before frowning at the sight of it.

"Why the fuck does the little shit have pink hair?" Almost instantly the man regretted his choice of words as he received glares from every other occupant in the room, especially from the leader and his wife.

"Say another swear word around Sakura while she grows up, I'll make sure that even your precious Jashin won't be able to revive you from anything I do to you." Hidan gulped and put up his hands in surrender as he stared into the eyes of an extremely emotional woman.

Before anything else could be said, the village alarms went off and sounds of explosions went off in the background, shaking the base as dust particles fell from the ceiling and the lights of the room flickered.

"Are we under attack?" Kisame asked as he placed a hand on the hilt of his sword.

"How the hell am I supposed to know that?" Hidan asked, mirroring his movement to hold his three bladed scythe across his back.

Pein waisted no time as he started barking out orders. Whoever it was that was attacking their base, was surely going to regret it.

"Sasori, you and Orochimaru go see what's happening, Kisame, you help protect the village and villagers from what ever it is that's attacking. Kakuzu, I need you and Hidan to protect Konan and Sakura. I must go and see who or what is the cause of all this, Zetsu, you come with me." Nodding, every member went and did as they were told, silently hoping that it wasn't too bad.

Oh how wrong they were.

Destruction

Destruction would be an understatement for the description of the current state of the village. Demolition would be more like it.

Houses and buildings were reduced to rubble, trees were basically wood chips, and on the far side of village was the cause of all the destruction, unknown on how, when, or why it got here, it was the Nibi, the two tailed beast.

At the base

"Who the fuck are these guys!? They have no headband or anything to show who they are or who they work for." Hidan questioned as he ripped his scythe from the back of an enemy ninja, breaking the mans spine in the process.

"I don't know, just keep fighting Hidan, we can't let them get to Konan or the baby." Kakuzu grunted as his tendils flipped another ninja over his head while another tendril pierced a lung of another enemy.

"I know that, but still. Shit!" Cursed Hidan as part of the base started to shake violently as parts of the roof began to crumble.

"Hidan! We need to get Konan and Sakura out of here before the base collapses!"

"Right!"

Soon, Hidan, Kakuzu, Konan and little Sakura were out of the base, and were standing in the middle of all the chaos. Watching as the place they once called home crumbled to the ground in a pitiful heap of rubble. Some enemy ninja were poking out of the rubble, not all of them in one piece either.

"Let's go find the others." Konan said strongly despite having a heavy heart and took off to where she felt her husbands chakra.

In the village

The Nibi continued destroying everything in its wake. Kisame, who was told to protect the village rescued everyone he could and took them to a safe distance behind the Nibi, out and away of its destructive course. It seemed like it was about over as all of Amegakure's ninja seemed to have weakened the Nibi, but things took a turn for the worst as the Nibi turned back around, but with someone on its head, and controlling it's every move.

Hanzo

Angered beyond belief, Pein immediately engaged Hanzo in battle, with every intention to kill the man who can't take care of their own village like was previously thought.

Sealing

The battle against Pein and Hanzo continued as jutsu's were fired from every which way, fire, water, lightning, earth, and wind jutsu colliding with each other causing massive explosions as they came into contact with the other.

Finally deciding to end it with one of Pein's summons, he was able to render Hanzo unconscious, but the Nibi was still wreaking havoc with Hanzo's unconscious form on top of it. The Nibi started to get closer and closer to all the survivors and the rest of the Akatsuki when suddenly Pein appeared before everyone who was present, the civilians, academy students, teachers, other ninja, and his subordinates.

"What do we do Leader-sama? If the Nibi continues to destroy the village now, there will be nothing left to call Amegakure." Kisame stated as he watched the beast stalk it's way towards them, like a predator would it's prey.

"We must seal the Nibi. Do any of you know a sealing jutsu?" he questioned, trying to ignore the beast continuous loud, thundering footsteps as he approached closer and closer.

"I do, but it requires a sacrifice..." spoke Orochimaru, who had a sadistic smile on his face. It grew larger when Pein looked over at Hanzo at the mention of sacrifice and nodded saying he had an idea.

"But, we still need someone to seal it in to, preferably a child, they would have a better chance of surviving if it were."

"I know" he said, but what had surprised everyone was the the amount of raw emotion they heard in his voice, it was hurt and regret as he turned to look at his child still in his wife's arms.

That's when it all sunk into their brains; Pein had intended to use Sakura as a vessel. Konan immediately held her daughter closer to her chest in a protective manner.

"No-no-no-no-No NO Pein! She is our daughter! She could die!" She exclaimed as tears started to gather in her eyes.

"There's a greater chance she WILL die if we don't do this! No place to call home or anything!" She flinched; she knew he was right...

Most, if not all the people who were there were confused about what they were saying, except for the ninja. They knew what had to be done, they knew how sealing a tailed beast worked. They had realized these people in black cloaks with red clouds on them, whom they didn't even know that well-if at all, were willing to sacrifice their own child to save the village from total destruction.

"What we aim for is world peace, how is this anyway shape or form peaceful? We must do what we have to." She hesitantly nodded and handed over their daughter.

Pein looked over to Orochimaru who nodded. He then looked over to Sasori with a silent message; Grab Hanzo. Sasori nodded and used his chakra strings to grab Hanzo off of the Nibi and brought him over.

Within the next few seconds, all the ninja and civilians were a few feet away, Sakura had markings all over her body and the ground surrounding her. The Nibi was a mere ten feet away, paw poised and ready to strike when Orochimaru's hands flew threw the hand seals, too fast for anyone to see, and pressed his hand to the stomach of the little pink haired baby, a flash of light later the wails of Sakura no Akatsuki could be heard as the mark that was on her stomach moved, and was now between her shoulder blades and disappeared, along with the two tails.

The destruction of The Village Hidden in the Rain had ceased and everyone knew of the major sacrifice that was made that day. The people of the village had decided that if a man who wasn't exactly known was able to make such a large sacrifice for the village, then he should be the village leader, so he accepted the offer. The Village Hidden in the Rain now had a new leader who was also leader of the Akatsuki, and although the Akatsuki were a bunch of S-ranked criminals, they were highly respected in the village.

Akatsuki no Sakura was appointed as the village's princess, not only because she was the village leader's daughter, but also because her presence itself made the village calm and peaceful, she was their Princess.

This was now the new village of 'The Village Hidden in the Rain.'

Elsewhere

Orochimaru's P.O.V.

'Yessss, now that the little brat has been born and has the Nibi sealed within her I believe she will make an outstanding vessel. Who knows, she might even gain the Rinnegan with time.'

I thought, looking over at the child that fell asleep in Sasori's arms while Konan and Pein were busy talking about the village and how to go about repairing it.

'A great vessel indeed.'

About time eh?

As some of you can tell, not much has changed in the first chapter from the last story, but fear not my dear readers, changes will occur in the next chapter. I have already rewritten the next few chapters but I will not be posting them until probably later... I don't want to rush everything. Maybe by Monday I'll have the other chapter up.
