Just take a minute

This is just a little something I decided to write to the Fandom. If you're excited for Allegiant, love Divergent and are so thankful that's it's only a few days away, read this. This is a little something about Allegiant, the fandom in general and how special right now is. So, please just take a minute to read this.

A/N: Hey everybody, no, this isn't a story this is just me wanting to do a little bit of fangirling. For the love of Four, Veronica Roth and the fandom; read this.

Dear Initiates,

Can we all just take a minute and realize how amazing a time this is? In a few days, we'll be getting Allegiant. How amazing is that?! I mean, we've been waiting for SO long for this book to come out and it's finally here. I still remember finishing Insurgent for the first time. I read it in four hours (yeah, how fitting) and then finished it thinking 'when's the next one coming out?!' We didn't even know what it was going to be called! Resurgent? Convergent? Even Detergent was what Veronica Roth jokingly called it.

We're going to finally find out what happens after 'the shouting' and see how it ends. So many times I've seen stuff of the Internet where it suggests that it was all a simulation or that Tris dies or that Tobias dies. We've probably all seen some little spoilers here and there and we can't wait for the 22 to roll around. But this is such a special time. We'll find out how off we were with our fanfiction. We'll find out if, Roth forbid, Tris or Tobias die.

But, remember that we are the original fandom. We stuck with Tris and Tobias and everybody through all the months we've been waiting for this book. We're not going to be like all the fake, pansycake fans who see the movie and claim they know everything about the story. And we're not going to be those creeps who decide to write gross smut between Tris and Caleb just because the same actors play Hazel and Gus for TFIOS. Or the idiots who ship Petris and Tric more than Fourtris because they think the actors are hot. (and they sort of are which annoys me because its hard to hate them)

Anyway, I just felt like writing this for the fandom. I wanted to say thank you for sticking with me and everybody else in the fandom through these very long months and that you're all amazing for loving this incredible book. It's so sad to see it come to an end but, we've been waiting so long for this and to know who dies, who doesn't and what the heck actually happens. I just wanted anyone who reads this to take a minute to realize how amazing right now is.
