A/N: I know I have stories to complete, but I couldn't help but write this one. It's been on my mind for a while now, and I'm sure it'll confuse the hell out of you. Not this first chapter, of course, but by the time we get to the end, you'll be fully smeckledorfed.

The six men each purposefully dashed around, stuffing all sorts of ammo into their pockets. Each placed some sort of rifle on their back, whether it be a sniper, assault rifle or MG. One man had a grenade launcher strapped to his back, alongside his MG. They all knew the plan, it had been ingrained into their minds, ensuring that no one screwed up the heist. It was only the start, after all.

It was a Saturday, meaning that Team RWBY had all the free time in the world. With this free time, the four girls had decided to go into the city, their objective undetermined. They had never actually gotten to see what was in Vale, as every time they tried, something would happen and they'd get involved.

As if on cue, two identical, black sports cars pulled up to an intersection. The passengers of the cars both looked at Team RWBY. The one in front's passenger wore a black suit, with a matching black bow tie. His hands were heavily tattooed, leading one to believe that his arms were likely similar. His upper lip held a proud mustache that spread away from the edges of his face and curled in front of his cheeks. His bloodshot eyes held an odd look, as if he couldn't see straight. Ruby had seen this look in her uncle's eyes countless times. This man was obviously drunk. The top of his head was hidden by the door of the car, but the driver could be seen just as clear as the rest of the first man. The driver was wearing a black and blue leather jacket along with a creepy, grey skull mask. His eyes were focused on the red light in front of him, but he was obviously looking at them through the corner of his eye.

The driver behind him was a little less subtle, openly staring at Team RWBY. His hair was a curly mess, and there was a distinct absence of facial hair compared to his companions. He wore a brown leather jacket that covered his arms and torso. His passenger was a dirty blonde man with a large nose, short beard and dark sunglasses. His mouth hung open as if there was something seriously wrong with him, dropping saliva onto his light blue dress shirt. His driver must have noticed this too, because he smacked the man's jaw closed.

"Shut your fucking mouth, Gavin!" He almost shouted. The man's—Gavin's—mouth fell back open almost immediately, and he turned to his driver.

"I can't, Michael!" He told his friend. At this point, the first passenger had already looked back, tiredly watching the two behind him argue. He sighed.

"Michael, Gavin." He said. "You're gonna blow our cover! The store is just around the corner, I don't want any cops on us until I waste that fucker behind the counter!" The two behind him froze and looked at RWBY just as the man realized his mistake. He sighed. "Fuck." He said. He suddenly reached into his jacket and retrieved a handgun. He pointed his weapon at RWBY. "You—uh, you didn't hear shit." He told them. "You're gonna be cool as cucumbers and keep your mouths shut tight." Yang raised an eyebrow and began taking a few steps towards the man. His eyes widened as Yang reached out for the gun, but before she could grab it, both cars sped off, taking a quick right. Ruby looked to her teammates as the cars disappeared.

"We have to go after them!" Ruby told them. Yang and Blake simultaneously nodded, each equipping their weapons. Weiss, however shook her head.

"Those men knew what they were doing." She said. "I believe we should leave this to—" Weiss looked to her teammates, only to find that they were long gone. She tiredly sighed and sprinted after them.

They could see where the cars had parked, but just for a few seconds before a bus pulled in to block the intersection. They could see Gavin and the moustached man running into the store, as the masked man began running in RWBY's direction. He was now carrying an MG. They could not see his face, but they could see his eyes and eyebrows. He was happy that they were there. He quickly took cover behind the bus and began firing at the four huntresses in training. Stray bullets tagged bystanders and littered nearby cars as well as the walls. RWBY quickly dove out of the way before he hit them. They were not about to find out whether or not he was using aura piercing rounds.

A nearby car exploded and the masked man laughed. A few seconds later, the rain of bullets stopped and Ruby curiously stuck her head around the corner. The man was not gone. He fired again, but only once, hitting the concrete wall beside Ruby. The bullet ricocheted off the wall and hit the poor girl's shoulder, launching her back, right into his sights. He laughed and began shooting a trail towards the stunned girl.

"You see," he said, his voice traveling over the gunfire. "When an aura piercing round ricochets off a solid object, it loses it ability to destroy auras in a single shot. However, if they hit directly, they fucking hurt!" Hearing this, Yang quickly grabbed Ruby and pulled her around the corner. She was fast in doing so, but he was faster, managing to land a single bullet on the red leader's shoulder. She cried out in pain, and he laughed. "I sunk your battleship!" He yelled in a child like manner.

Yang set Ruby down against the wall, her blood soaking the brick wall and her combat attire. She writhed in pain as Yang pressed hard against the wound, the blonde girl's black gloves slowly becoming red with her sister's blood. Blake and Weiss watched this in horror, neither knowing what to do. Yang suddenly turned to her two remaining teammates, her eyes blood red.

"Get that son of a bitch." She growled. Blake nodded and began to move around the corner, Weiss not too far behind. The masked man immediately opened fire, but Blake dodged each bullet with her shadow clones, and Weiss blocked them with her glyphs. Blake leapt onto the bus next to him, and quickly aimed at him with Gambol Shroud. A gunshot rang out, but the man didn't fall. Blake slowly looked down, the white part of her tights was stained red, the color only spreading down her outfit. She slowly moved a hand to the origin of the color, and looked to her attacker. The man from earlier—Michael was holding a still smoking handgun, and it was pointed right at her. Blake maintained eye contact with the man for a few seconds before another gunshot rang out. It was much further away this time, and undoubtedly a sniper. The second bullet laughed Blake off the bus, and the masked man was given a clear shot of her skull.

So why didn't he take it?

He just watched as Weiss quickly grabbed her incapacitated teammate, dragging her by her arms. When she rounded that corner, she saw silver eyes meet her own. Ruby watched Weiss drag Blake to safety, but she did not seem concerned. Just confused. The young girl shook tremendously as she reached out for her friends with her blood soaked hands. Ruby suddenly stopped, and gave a confused glare to her hand.

Yang noticed that Ruby had looked over, and quickly glanced at her other two teammates, shocked to see that Blake was down. Weiss rushed the downed faunas to a spot beside their leader, leaning against the wall. Yang had removed her scarf and was pressing it against Ruby's wound. It had probably helped tremendously, but it couldn't change how pale Ruby had become. Her head moved in small circles, as if she was having trouble keeping her neck straight.

"We need to get both of them to a hospital, or they won't make it." Weiss told Yang, providing pressure to just one of Blake's wounds.

"I know, dammit!" Yang angrily snapped back. This was something they both knew, but they also knew that they couldn't move their teammates without taking pressure off their wounds, and that could result in one or both of them bleeding out.

As the two girls considered their options, they failed to notice the sounds of sirens rapidly approaching. However, they did notice cop car after cop car tearing around the corner, several ambulances coming in the same convoy. Paramedics rushed to the huntresses in training and swept up their injured teammates, taking and putting them on the same ambulance. They had obviously anticipated there being many injured and had two stretchers per ambulance. Yang sighed happily, relieved that her sister was safe. She quickly stole a look around the corner where the men had been, only to find that they were gone. Their buses had left, as had their cars, but Yang could hear the wail of sirens moving away, indicating that the police were indeed chasing the men.

Yang had been furious that the paramedics would not allow her to come with them in the ambulance, so Weiss and Yang had to walk several miles to the hospital. When the two finally arrived at the hospital, Yang disposed of her blood covered scarf, as well as her gloves. However, the blood had soaked through her gloves, and her hands were now covered in the dried blood of her sister.

The orderlies had very reluctantly let Weiss and Yang in to see their teammates. Upon arrival in the two's shared room, they found that Blake was already awake, sitting up in her bed and now wearing a hospital gown. Her face twitched into a smile for a brief second before returning to a minute frown. She obviously wasn't happy to be there. Ruby was laying in the bed next to her, the two separated by a thin, blue curtain. The younger girl was still unconscious, and—unlike Blake—was connected to an EKG. The machine made a soft, rhythmic beeping sound that filled the room. Without saying a word to either of her teammates, Yang disappeared into the bathroom, presumably to clear her hands of the dried blood. When she emerged a few minutes later, she gave Blake a nod, acknowledging that she was glad her teammate was okay, and moved a chair to Ruby's bedside.
