OCTOBER 10th
It's that day, the day the nine tailed fox attacked, the day the Yondaime died and the day a handsome boy was born, Naruto Uzamaki.
Naruto both hated and loved this day, he'd spend half of it with his friends celebrating and the other half starring up at the Yondaime's face.
He finished his celebrating with his friends. Now he laid on top of the Hokage tower staring at the faces carved into the mountain face.
"What are you doing up here by yourself." A voice appeared next to him.
He didn't budge other than tilt his head to look at her.
"Eh, fine." She set something on his stomach and sat next to him. "I missed the party due to a mission."
Naruto sat up. "You didn't have to get me anything."
"I know…but I wanted to." Akari nudged him. "Open it."
Naruto did, opening it revealed a picture in a frame, the picture showed all the rookie nine, then in a different frame Naruto and the sand siblings, there were a lot of pictures of him and his friends. He grinned "Thanks."
"Yep, Kyten wrapped it, I can't wrap a present even if my life depended on it." She chuckled.
Naruto laughed and looked back up at the faces.
Akari followed his gaze. "You know sixteen years ago when the fox attacked he broke apart my family, separated them…"
"So you're saying it's my fault."
"No I'm saying that good always comes from certain things."
"Good? How could any good come from that?"
"The Yondaime became a hero…and so did you."
"What, how?"
"Without you we'd all probably be gone, all dead, but you were born on this day just for that reason. So never let someone say you're a monster because you're a hero already, even without being Hokage."
She grinned. "That very thing that made you fall is going to lift you up."
Akari gave him a big hug. "Everything happens for a reason." She released him. "I've got to go, so don't forget what I said." She disappeared in a shadow.
Naruto sighed and smiled. 'You know maybe my birthday isn't such a bad thing, maybe Akari's right.' Naruto noticed a card. It was signed. 'The Hatake family, Kakashi, Kyten, and Akari…you're a family member, come for anything.' Naruto smiled wider. "Thank you."
