Carlos, for the first half of his life, had not been considered a particularly suave or flirty person.

He had differing opinions, of course, and so did his boyfriend Cecil. It was probably this encouragement from his boyfriend that had cause him to be so loose tongued about flirting lately, despite the eye rolls his science puns got from everyone else. His science team, especially, took the opportunity to tease him (lovingly) for his rather odd style of flirting.

Of course right now his team was nowhere around. Carlos was driving home from work, and he was in the mood, and he was going to call his boyfriend up and smooth talk the pants off of him.

Yeah, he was gonna flirt with his boyfriend god damn it.

Carlos didn't bother to turn on the radio as he normally did when he drove home from work, he was running a bit late so he figured Cecil had already finished his broadcast and was about to go home (after chatting with the remaining interns and avoiding station management). He considered this suspicion confirmed when Cecil answered the phone.

"Ah, Carlos." The radio persona purred. "Hello, sweet Carlos."

"Hey, Cece." Carlos replied, suddenly jealous of his boyfriend's deep voice which could make reading a grocery list aloud sound sexy. "I'm on my way home now, and I'm eager to see you."

"Oh?" Cecil took a deep breath, Carlos could hear it over the phone. "Is there some scientific problem which requires the minds of my eager audience?"

"Not quite." Carlos began, feeling his heart picking up speed. "Just some scientific instrument in need of your eager mouth."

"Oh, I see." Cecil chuckled deeply. "I do hope I am capable of handling such enormous equipment."

"It might be difficult." Carlos replied. "However, I am certain that after a few tests we will see quite enjoyable results."

"Mmm...how many tests would you be conducting tonight?"

"Well, a good scientist never limits himself, I don't know about radio hosts though...how many times would you be able to hold out?"

"You're the scientist, you tell me. I could never speculate about such sensitive data."

"Your sensitive data will be handled quite carefully." Carlos promised. "After all, a scientist comes prepared with...huge Erlenmeyer flasks."

"Well, I certainly am excited." Cecil half moaned. "I'll try to wrap up the show early to meet you at home sooner."

Carlos almost choked, and probably almost crashed the car too though by some miracle he didn't.

"Y-you're still on the air?"

"Well, yes. Did you not know?" Cecil asked, confused.

"Cecil...are you broadcasting our phone call?" Carlos groaned, all those science metaphors. His team tomorrow morning. His life...ruined.

"Well I couldn't interrupt the show, I take my work very seriously!" Cecil reminded the scientist.

"Well you could have not answered the phone..." Carlos sighed.

"On the contrary, I needed to answer the phone!" Cecil replied. "I was more than ready to discuss your Erlenmeyer flask, your calling to flirt was actually quite a happy coincidence."

"Cecil I have to go I'll talk to you later." Carlos blushed, fighting the urge to drive off the nearest cliff.

"Okay, Carlos." Cecil chuckled. "I'll see you in our bedroom in a few minutes."

"Yeah, yeah, goodbye Cecil." Carlos spluttered.
