Saturdays were Anna's favorite day of the week. They were the only full day that she and Skylar both had off. The couple usually saw each other a couple of times during the week, but they usually only had time for dinner and were too tired from working all day to do anything fun. Saturdays were different. They got to do fun things like go to Disneyland or the beach, or on a rainy day like today, stay in and watch TV.
The couple had numerous shows they liked, but didn't have time to watch during the week and had better things to do on a Saturday than sit inside and watch TV. Today was the perfect day to stay inside and cuddle up and watch something all day. Skylar came over at 11 and it was his turn to pick what they watched. While he did that, Anna went to the kitchen to get some snacks.
When the blonde came back, she saw The Mindy Project queued up and ready to go. "Really?" was all Anna had to say in response.
"Yes, I've heard it's a good show and this may or may not be pay back for making us watch 21 and Over."
Anna groaned as she walked back over to the couch and sat down net to Skylar, resting her head on his shoulder.
As the episodes went on, Anna started to relax a little. For the most part, she hadn't watched the episodes when they first aired because she was busy and was pleased to see how funny and charming the show ended up being.
After six hours, the couple had watched all of Anna's episodes and were ready for dinner. The blonde begrudgingly pulled herself out of Skylar's arms and made her way to the kitchen to start cooking.
Before she could fully get off the couch, Anna was lightly pulled back down to sit by Skylar who leaned in to kiss her forehead. "You had a long week and do so much for me. Let me cook for you."
The blonde smiled and gave an approving nod. Half an hour later, Skylar had set a table for two, complete with candles. Anna smiled widely when she saw the dinner. Wow, this looks amazing."
Skylar just shrugged as he pulled out Anna's seat. "It's nothing really, just chicken breast and a side of couscous."
"Well it looks amazing. Thank you for this."
Skylar smiled, "You're welcome. It was nothing really and I'm happy to do it because I love you."
"I love you too."
