What Klaus was thinking well watching Jackson and Hayley get married. And why he didn't step in and stop the wedding right there in spite of all his anger and jealousy. Klayley
Notes: I've wrote like four or five little Klaus POV Klayley one shots within a few days. Let me know if you guys want me to continue my Klayley streak phase and if you're actually enjoying them or if I've gone on a drabble rampage and need to be stopped. XOXO PS: This little Drabble is based around the song Jealous by Labrinth.
I'm jealous of the rain
That falls upon your skin
It's closer than my hands have been
I'm jealous of the rain
Klaus clenched his jaw and stared as Hayley and Jackson said there vows together. He leaned against the banister as he willed himself with all of his thousand years or self control not to go down there, object and rip Jackson's head straight off. He would take Hayley into his arms and refuse to ever let go.
Why did this wolf get to play happy little family with his family. Hayley. Hope. They were his.
I'm jealous of the wind
That ripples through your clothes
It's closer than your shadow
Oh, I'm jealous of the wind
He closed his eyes and gripped the banister, bending the metal. His whole body felt tense as he attempted to control his anger but could feel the hybrid side of him coming out.
He was about to completely snap when Hayley glanced over at him with a smile. All the sounds stopped, the music, the priest, Jackson. Everything stopped in time as he stared at Hayley and she stared right back at him. All of his appending anger stopped but his face remained cold and detached. Hayley's smile slowly faded and an ache settled in his heart because of it.
'Cause I wished you the best of
All this world could give
And I told you, when you left me
There's nothing to forgive
He smiled. It was fake. Completely forced and he knew that deep down Hayley knew that but she smiled up at him once again regardless.
She was happy.
With Jackson. Her life to be with Jackson. Being with someone as good and kind as Jackson.
But I always thought you'd come back
Tell me, all out found was
Heartbreak and misery
He felt the anger returning to him but pushed it down as Hayley looked back at Jackson.
He moved his eyes away from Hayley with much difficulty and looked to his older brother, Elijah who was looking anywhere but at Hayley. A deep pain in eyes. How his brother channeled his anger to pathetic sadness and grief instead of rage is something he never learned.
She was happy.
I'm jealous of the nights
That I don't spend with you
I'm wondering who you lay next to
Oh I'm jealous of the nights
He attempted to carve those three words that meant so much to him into his head to keep him from doing anything to further hurt her. He had done enough of that.
So he would play along. Support Hayley and her.. And her newfound Husband. Hope's Stepfather. He would endure endless suffering every time they looked at each other with such love for the sake of the mother of his child's well deserved happiness without him.
He sighed and pushed himself away from the railing just in time to see the two kiss and a heart wrenching throb to ache through his entire body as he flinched violently in both hurt and jealousy.
She was happy. Without him.
It's hard for me to say
I'm jealous of the way
You're happy without me
